Re: VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
The sgnotify_log is larger than the sgnotify.mdf. Does the sgnotify database get backed up regularly? It looks so far like you have a fairly active notifications, which might explain why yours was using more memory. Does the memory then return back to using 800-900 mb, or has it stayed lower now? H...

Re: VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
Can you tell me how many users you have and how large your Vault databases are? The ones I'm interested in are sgvault.mdf, sgvault_log.ldf, sgnotify.mdf, and sgnotify_log.ldf. Do all users use notifications? How many check-ins do you think you have daily? We have 25 users, will log in to Vault dai...

Re: VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
I've checked my test server and can't see evidence of that. Can you show me a screenshot of what you see that shows it using that amount of memory? Are you looking inside the Worker Processes in IIS Manager or at a process in your Task Manager? Here our process uses about 350. This can vary by the ...

VaultNotifyApp need 800-900MB memory?
Hi
I found that, VaultNotifyApp is using 800-900MB memory all the time.
May I know if it is normal? Why does it require so much memory?
Thank you

Re: check in to multiple "branches" in one action
OK Thank you. You should merge only files that ever checked in to the "source" with version # changed (check in unchanged files option). For example, if formA.designer.cs has version changed in branchA since branched out, merge branch should take it as well. OTOH, if FormA.txt never checke...

Re: check in to multiple "branches" in one action
I experimented with this in a web project. You can check in unchanged files and increment the version -- but the merge tool still doesn't pick that up because the contents are the same as in the target. Is there a reason you need the merge to work if the contents have not changed? In ASP.NET projec...

Re: check in to multiple "branches" in one action
Hi I have tried the feature of “Merge Branch” in VAULT for our new branching method. However, I face the limitations below: 1. Resolve Merge Status • It will show “Need Merge” when there’s conflict. Then, I try to merge the files using “Resolve Merge Status” feature. It will revert back to original ...

Re: check in to multiple "branches" in one action
Hi I think it is not what I am looking for. Let say I have fileA.txt in trunk folder. Now, it is branched to BranchVer1.1. A bug reported, I have fix it in BranchVer1.1. At the same time I need to "redo" the same fix in trunk folder as well. I would like to know, is it possible that, when ...

check in to multiple "branches" in one action
Hi
Is it possible to check in one file in single action, to trunk, branch1.1, and branch 1.2 and etc?
Currently I need to check in and type comments multiple times.
thank you

Merge with comment
Hi
My company is moving to agile source control method.
http://www.infoq.com/articles/agile-version-control
I would like to know, can vault automatically copy the comment from "source" when merge to another branch?

Moving client to new machine, lost pending change set
Hi I am moving my Vault Client to to new machine. I have copied all my source file, and local cache folder to new machine as well (same location as old machine). All the settings are retained, but the pending change set is lost. Edited: beside, all the checked out files status become "Renegade&...
