Re: Vault on-prem migration to AWS
Thanks for another prompt reply Linda! At the moment RDS creates a 'master' user in the SQL Server instance which is then used to create databases in the instance, but that account has limited access to master and is definitely not sa. The option we have gone with is to migrate to a SQL Express inst...

Re: Vault on-prem migration to AWS
Thank you for your quick reply Linda, Unfortunately in RDS there isn't access to the SQL Server's filesystem so attach isn't possible. As an experiment I tried a new Vault install pointing to the Vault Server Setup directly at the RDS instance, which seemed to get along for a while but failed at the...

Vault on-prem migration to AWS
Hi Guys, I was hoping to migrate our local Vault server to a VM at AWS and use RDS (MS SQL Server) for the database. Unfortunately I have hit a snag in the database migration plan. Because it is not possible to restore a new database from backup in RDS, their recommended method is to script the sche...

Re: Vault support in Hudson CI?
Just out of curiosity BSayatovic, how did you find authoring a Jenkins plugin? In the end we settled on TeamCity which uses the Vault Java client*. Jenkins would have been fine but the decision to go to TeamCity was driven by the NuGet integration. We think Vault + TeamCity + Octopus is the perfect ...

Re: Vault support in Hudson CI?
And just to be clear I think the SourceGear CCNet plugin is great, as is CCNet in general. Our problems with it were of our own creation. I haven't ruled out we may end up back there if the Jenkins plugin turns out to be not up to the task, but for us at the moment a clean break from CCNet is appeal...

Re: Vault support in Hudson CI?
Hi Guys, I have had some limited initial success using the Jenkins Vault plugin: https://github.com/jenkinsci/vault-scm-plugin Actually, since the above link at time of writing contains only sources and I don't have the skill or inclination to build a Jenkins plugin today, we are using the binary (....

Re: Query items by custom field
A feature request would be great, thanks! My use case is the custom #1 field is being used to store a reference number for another internal system. The way we are using it this field is not required for all issues, but I would like to check each week or so that where it is applicable it has been fil...

Query items by custom field
Hi guys, I was hoping to query our Vault Pro 5 (5.1.2) instance for work items where the value of custom field #1 is blank. The idea was to query for all the items where this value has not been entered. I have tried expressions like <> '' etc but they always return no results. Could you please help ...

Re: SQL Server 2012 Support
Thanks for the quick reply guys. Our production Vault environment is on SQL Sever Standard 2008 RTM (v10.0.1600.22) and Vault 5.1.0. It was a clone of these databases I restored for my SQL Server 2012 test box. I have installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Express Edition on my testing server and the Vault Pr...

SQL Server 2012 Support
Hi guys, Long time fan of Vault (standard) and I was just starting to evaluate Vault Pro with the current eval version (5.1.2). The server environment I would like to deploy Vault Pro into is running SQL Server 2012 (this will end up on Express Edition in case that matters). To set up our test envir...

Re: Macintosh client?
Please add my vote +1 to a Mono on Mac Vault client.
About 20% of our coding is on Mac and I would love nothing more to have projects for both platforms in the one system
