Re: Checkout Location in Client UI
The machine name comes after the filename. You may not have the column wide enough to see it if you don't know it's there.

Re: Unshelve requests
I think you misunderstood the username request. Right now you can type in the box, and then use the arrow keys to select the matching username. There are two basic styles for that type of control If the style of the control was changed to the other one, then typing in the field would directly select...

Unshelve requests
I'd like to be able to select a shelveset from the unshelve dialog and unshelve it without having to go into the details dialog first, such as through an Unshelve button, or a context menu item. I'd also like to be able to delete multiple shelvesets at once. Currently I can select multiple shelveset...

Re: Undo checkout leaves local file with new timestamp
coderanger, are you saying that you think the Vault client defaults should be "checkin time" or "modified time" instead of "current time"? That causes havoc with build dependency checking. If I modify a file, build, and then undo it, and it set the time to the last modi...

Re: Merge Branches tool to limit versions
I asked about that here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=3125&p=11618 A date range like on the history query dialog would be helpful too. We very rarely merge something that wasn't committed today, and then it's generally at most a month in the past. I think I've requested...

Re: Email Notification does not include all code changes
This used to happen for Move, Add and Delete, and now (reportedly) only happens for Move and Delete:
http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic ... 22&p=29244
I've gotten used to it, so I don't notice any more whether it still happens or not.

Re: Still no ability to Deny Exclusive checkouts?
However, if we are talking about SourceSafe users, they never had the ability to do anything other than exclusive checkouts. That is incorrect. The first option on the first page of the SourceSafe admin tool options dialog is "Allow multiple checkouts". The Vault setting exactly matches t...

Re: Still no ability to Deny Exclusive checkouts?
In the past 12 years, have most of your developers been ex-SourceSafe users in remote locations with egos the size of football fields? Yes, as a matter of fact. However, I don't see how that's relevant, unless you're talking about people intentionally checking things out exclusively, in which case ...

Re: Still no ability to Deny Exclusive checkouts?
I'm sure we all know this, but just like with any other project, you can't do everything everyone wants in any given release. I think I can count on one hand the number of times in the last 12 years that we've had anyone's work disrupted by an accidental exclusive checkout, and it can always be undo...

Re: "Resolve Merge" in 3rd-party diff/merge
No, but the Resolve Merge prompt is only shown for DiffMerge.exe and SGDM.exe.

Re: "Resolve Merge" in 3rd-party diff/merge
According to other posts from SG staff, it only does it for its own diff/merge products, since it can't be sure that the third-party products have actually performed the merge when the program that they call has exited.
