The Vault databases cannot be renamed.
I'd suggest you use separate SQL Server instances, which will still allow the databases to reside on the same physical server. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library ... 80%29.aspx

Re: Vault 5: WebDAV compatibility
I've confirmed that this fails in the 64-bit version of WebDrive, and works in the 32-bit version. The BOM is legal here, but useless, so we'll be taking it out.

Re: Vault 5: WebDAV compatibility
If so, I'd love to see a trace of the traffic between WebDrive x64 and Vault. (via Wireshark, etc.)

Re: VSTS 2008 vs SourceGear Fortress?
Thanks for the question. Without knowing a bit more about the size of your development team and how you're set up, I can only provide a fairly generalized answer. But here's some of the more consistent feedback we've received from our customers on why they've chosen SourceGear Fortress over Microsof...

VS 2008 support coming soon...
The upcoming Vault 4.1 beta fully supports VS 2K8 -- the public beta is coming up very, very soon.
Earlier versions of Vault will work with VS 2008 via the older (MSSCCI) IDE client.
