I don't know what SG will say, but I've seen a beta, a full release and an update in the past 3 months or so. It seems like they are in it for the long haul and FogBugz will give them a push :-)

Input items on the screen look really spread out. See:

Windows & Mac development

I'm aware that Vault does not yet run under Mac OSX, but may work from the command line via mono (I haven't tried it yet, but greatly prefer using the gui). Until the gui is available for MacOSX (and I realize that's an if and parts are probably out of SourceGear's hands), I'm wondering what people ...

Add bug default - request

I'd like to request being able to set defaults for some of the entries. I'd like to be able to default the platform to Windows since I only develop for that. I'd like to default the assignee to me since I'm the only developer. Things like that. I could see this being an option in the database sectio...

Yeah I thought it would work too :-)

I checked everything, Dragnet has all the right Vault stuff and Vault has all the right Dragnet stuff. Vault is not set to use active directory.

Wierd.

Switching to Dragnet login allows me in. I haven't tested a check in yet. If it works, that'll be all I need.

Hmm, I checked the setup and Vault is specified. I created a new user with the same user name as my Vault user. I put in the same password and selected vault authentication. The user seemed to create fine, but now I can't log in through the web page with that user account. Just says "Invalid Pa...

Vault/Dragnet login at checkin

I have Dragnet 1.0.1 and Vault 3.0.1 installed on the same server and both are running great. I have the integration hooked up and it seems to work fine. However, when I do the checkin in Vault it asks me to log in to Dragnet. I want to have it automatically log into to Dragnet. I'm using both as a ...

It's regular cpp & h files and they aren't in use by any editor that I can tell. I'll try and get a picture next time it happens.

Instant renegades

I'm using Vault 2 with VS.NET 2003, not integrated together. Sometimes I'll do the following: check out file edit file build solution run check file in And then a message pops up saying something about some other process having the file and it can't be checked in or something to that effect. Then th...

Exactly the opposite. FogBugz is $99 for one user, Dragnet is free. If you want more developers, both are $99. You can try FogBugz with no hassel since you use their server. I'm not sure Dragnet has this option. I find them similar, but the layout of things is quite different. I think FogBugz has mo...

Doh. Yes they were the same. I've changed the 1.1.0 one and all is well now. Thanks.

Correct, on the Project Admin tab, the last two 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 are listed in reverse order.

I think FogBugz's trial is pretty slick. There's no install at all for the trial, so you are worry free about some system screwing up your own server. I think the same sort of trial system for Dragnet would be beneficial. Just my opinion.

I'm wondering if this method generates a lot of noise entries. It seems like if the user can just email any old thing in, there would need to be a lot of cleaning up of issues in the database. I'm wondering if going through the db is easier than going through the support emailbox and pushing stuff o...
