Server closed connection

4.1 What causes "Server closed connection" to occur other than the server going down, etc.? I typically stay connected through the client all day and maybe perform an operation or two per hour. However, it seems like I get the message a couple of times per day. This morning I started SoS a...

Yeah, the user that I setup the gateway with. It's working perfectly now, but I haven't rebooted the server. That'll be my next test. If it works after a reboot (and without logging in as that user and doing anything) then I'll be all set. If not, I may try running it as a person and just leaving it...

Aha, success. I guess the service couldn't use the mapped drive through the Novell gateway. I changed the service to use the current user and I could connect. Now I will try to find a way to get it to connect when I'm not logged on.

Can't connect to VSS database

I've installed the trial to see how much better SOS is for network use than VSS. I'm on a VPN. The server running SOS is accessible to me via the network. When I remote connect to the server I can run VSS. I have mapped a drive g: to the VSS database server (it's on a Novell server). The client succ...

Doesn't it mean that I have to pick a category when I'm filling out the bugs? I want to set defaults for every field in the bug report so I have to change only a minimum amount of items.

Awesome. So I'll have to whip up something to send the command line commands myself, but at least I can keep using Vault. So just to be sure, with this release I'll be able to check out & check in files & get lists of files from a command line. Something like mono Vault.exe get myrepos usern...

BTW I did take a quick look at the Client API stuff last night. I don't believe that will help me much since it's just a dll. I'll have to look closer at the mono project to see if I can build an application that uses a dll that runs under mono. It may be an option, but I'd much rather have at least...

Vault client with Mono

I've moved to the point where I *need* to have a Mac OSX client for my source control. Has any progress been made on the endian issue for the command line client? If this part at least works I can make a plugin for xcode or something that just calls the command line version, i.e. some sort of gui wr...

Check out, check in button

I think that when I do a check out, the check in button should immediately update to enabled. Sometimes I do this: 1. check out file (using gui client) 2. edit file in vs.net 3. switch back to vault gui client 4. I want to just hit the check in button here, but I can't because it is not enabled 5. c...

But it would still be the command line version right? I think it is going to be easier to remote desktop to XP & check out using the gui to a shared drive than it will be to remember all the command line arguments.

Since we are up to 3.0.7 or something, has this been fixed? Specifically, does the command line version work on OSX yet?

Sounds nice, but I'd turn it off. I work alone and wouldn't want the network traffic.
