Force Default Cache Settings on Remote Desktop Install

Post by ejhansen71 » Sat Apr 04, 2015 12:40 pm

Hi Beth -

We have many users and are using a remote desktop service to roll it out to all users.

The problem we are having is that, by default, the cache and backup files are stored on the local drive (the RDS) which has limited space available.

We can ask all the users to change the location of the cache etc. But we were hoping that we could force the client to use another location by default without user intervention. Any possibility of that? Is there a setting on the admin tool that can do that?

Thanks for your help and time!

Eric
Thanks!

Eric

There isn't a way to force the cache settings in the Vault admin web page, but you can change the registry settings. The cache location is found in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SourceGear\Vault\Client\Settings.
