Hi, again

I have several VS.Net solutions sharing some common VS.Net projects.

I have open a first solution and clicked on the "Add Solution to Vault" menu to add all its projects at once in Vault.
It worked fine.

Next, I have open another solution. Some projects of this solution are already in Vault. So their are already binded.
Some others are not. So I want to "Add them to Vault". But right clicking on those, I see that "Add to Vault" is disabled ???
I have to add them using the "binging" menu, which is not at all as easy (I like the way I can select where the projects must be added into Vault when I "Add Solution to Vault")

Isn't there a way of (or a plan in your developement to support ) adding an existing project (part of a solution containing other already binded projects) into Vault from a contextual menu ?

What types of projects are involved? Are they Windows form projects or websites or something else?

Are you using the Fortress Enhanced Client or the Fortress Classic Client? That would be found in VS Tools - Options - Source Control.

There is one Console Application, three Class Libraries, two Windows Application (one containing a windows service but no actual forms)
The project that was already in Vault was one of the Class Libraries.

I am using the SourceGear Vault Visual Studio Enhanced Client.

Are all projects located below the solution file? The Visual Studio Enhanced Client FAQ details out exactly what kind of rules there are for the layout of projects and solutions.

No, there are not, mainly because I share projects among several solutions which are all in distinct folders :(

However, my understanding of this "issue" was that a get latest would not be straightforward on another PC.
But I decided to continue and do a "global" get latest of the root $ using the Vault Client on my other PC before opening any solution.

I didn't notice that it would be an issue to check out and check in files

Try the following. Add the project to Vault using the GUI client. Then use the Add Existing Project to add what is on disk to your currently bound solution. After that, use the Change Vault Bindings to bind the added project to Vault. After it is bound, check in any changes to the proj and .sln files.
