Multiple Email Notifications

Post by Tom.Wells » Wed Apr 21, 2010 9:49 am

We're on Vault 4.1.1. Is there a way for more than one person to receive an email about changes to the repository? Comma separating two addresses does not appear to work.

You can only configure one email -- generally it's yours - the person using the Vault client.

Other Vault users can enter their email address in their client and set up their own "Watch" list so they'll be notified of changes to the "watched" items.

I was hoping not to have to install another client and use another license just to get email notifications. Is that possible?

You could always create a mailing list, or distribution list, and have your notifications sent to that. If you can't get one created on your mail server, there are free services like google groups.

Good idea, Greg.

Vault email notifications were designed for email notification just to the Vault user using the Vault Client . I'll log a feature request for the ability to send to multiple email addresses.
