Bug fixes in SOS 4.1.2

The following bugs were fixed in SOS 4.1.2. This is not a complete list, but those considered to be of greatest interest to the majority of our customers. 1. Files residing in local working folders, but not added to source control, now show up correctly when performing a Project Diff. 2. Setting the...

I believe the database selection will default to the last one used, but you should still always have a drop down list of all available databases so you can select a different one when logging in. The actual binding of each project should be stored by Visual Studio in a file named MSSCCPRJ.SCC in the...

I guess I'm a bit confused. Did you turn off "automatically connect" and leave it off?

So it sounds like you were able to bind to the one project you were unable to get working before, but now it messed up the binding for one that was working previously? Is that correct?

Try this: first, exit Visual Studio. Then launch the SourceOffSite standalone GUI Client. From the file menu, choose Connect to Server. On the Connect to Server dialog, uncheck the option Connect automatically . Then proceed with the login. After logging in, exit the Client, and then restart Visual ...

We're trying to finish testing of our Unix client. One of the bugs we fixed in the Unix client has required a lot of regression testing. We plan to have the release ready by the end of the month.

Yes, we're still investigating the MSVCR71.DLL problem, and will include a fix to the installer when one is ready. It has only seemed to be a problem for a small number of our customers.

The Windows version is basically ready, but we've had a delay with our Unix builds, so that's the holdup for the moment. We still want to release all versions at the same time. It may be another 2-4 weeks.

John, From the look of the content in your solution file, I'm assuming the projects you are having problems with are web projects? Visual Studio is supposed to store source control specific information outside of the solution file in files called MSSCCPRJ.SCC, but this is not true with web projects....

No, there is no such utility available for SOS. The only thing which may help somewhat would be to manually look at the contents of your .sos file. It is a flattened, textual representation of the repository, and working folders are stored inside. However, its not very readable. But if you opened th...
