Somehow the web.config in the web service was pointing to a non existant vault.config file. Not sure how that happened. Anyway, pointing it to the correct one fixed it.

No... as a matter of fact, I left it alone overnight, came back, and suddently it's working just fine when i connect without the domain in the name. Go figure.

Previously I was able to access my respositories with the client/admin tool using the following server: jaguar.foo (in the format of [server].[domain]). I had a few files checked out on my laptop from a repository. While checked out, my laptop died and has to be completely rebuilt. When I login to Vault with the same username, it shows the files are exclusively checked out, but I can't undo the checkout or force a checkin... it's like they are locke...

Classic case of me not reading the documentation... had to tell it to be my default SCC before opening VS.NET. Unchecking it resets it... like you said it doesn't do it when the instance of VS.NET is open. Got it working.
