Bug with 2 text files
Hey - I'm loading DIFFMERGE with these two files attempting to compare them and every time DIFFMERGE just hangs.
I've had to go back to WinMerge to compare them - and they are only text files.
I've attached them here in case this helps.

Problems comparing files with binary information
Here are two files that do not compare properly with Diffmerge.
The problem occurs around line 3482 of the version_xxx.vca file where there are some binary characters.
This problem does NOT exist in the regular SOS diff comparison tool.

DiffMerge compared to SOS Diff Tool
Hey guys. I've been trying to use the new DiffMerge in place of the built-in tool from SOS and am running into the following problem: With SOS, if a file has some binary characters in it, it recognizes them and then continues to identify differences. With DiffMerge, if a file has binary, it STOPS at...

A Better List
Is it possible to reconfigure the way lists appear? We have an issue where some of our tests put in huge Descriptions but then they also put in more into the details. When I go to print out the list, it puts them all onto the same line. It would be really handy if the Printable list put the Details ...

Display Item ID to external users
When users create a new item externally, I want them to be able to see the Item ID.
Is there a quick change I can make to do that?

Still not working through firewall
Linda, This is still not working right. I tried changing my port to 8888, opened it on the firewall and then connecting remotely. Still no connection. The log file shows: 1/9/2005 2:46:09 PM - Connection accepted from 192.168.15.12:3316 on local address 192.168.15.12:8888, session id is 1. Why would...

ER: Saving Queries
I think it would be really valuable to be able to save certain queries to make it easier to pull them back. For example, I created a status called To Be Tested. Users have no way of pulling up the list of issues to be tested unless they use Query (which can get confusing for new users). If I was abl...

Basic ERs or How Tos on External Users
Is it possible to customize the External Users Add and response without using VS? One of our users thought it might be valuable to do the following: a) have the site say something more than just "An item has been added." b) refer to the project itself c) possibly remove the name Dragnet (s...

Proper Firewall settings for SOS 4.1
Hi. I'm trying to switch to SourceOffSite from Collab edition and am running into a problem where one of my remote users are trying to get into the server and it says the server isn't there. However, he is able to ping it and port 8080 (the one being used) is open. Is there another port that should ...
