I have been using Microsoft SourceSafe with Visual Studio for years. I now use SourceSafe with VS2008. I do not want to import my SourceSafe files. Fortress was recommended to me by a friend. As he recommended Fortress he stated by the way I know you are a single developer so it should be free.
