Hi,
Thank you for your quick reply. Tested OK using Vault 4x GUI. I am going to tell the Developers about this "Auto-commit after each operation" option. Some of them will probably like it.

Can Vault Web Client perform Source Control operations?
Hi, Using Server 4.14. Working at a client site with strict security measures. We must use the client's supplied laptop for development. While waiting for the client's approval to install Vault client, we use the Web Client for Vault operations. It seems that only file history and Get can be perform...

Re: Login asked each time solution is opened after rename
Hi, Thanks for the link to the solution. There is no MSSCCPRJ.SCC in my case. I just renamed the local folder and did an "Open from Source Control" and the issue is fixed. I guess VS2008 writes the Source Control info somewhere but the fix using "Open from Source Control" is simp...

Login asked each time solution is opened after rename
Hi, Using Vault 4.14, SQL Server 2008 Management studio. The *..ssmssln solution was working OK with Vault integration. After I renamed & moved the solution and projects, it broke. I have edited various project files (*.ssmssqlproj) to change the Vault path. After unbind/rebind, the Vault bindin...

VSS Server 6.0d (Visual Studio 6 (1998)
Hi,
One of our client uses Visual SourceSafe 6.0d which was released at the same time as Visual Studio 6 (released in 1998). We are using Vault Server 4.13, is there any way we could use Vault Client 4.13 to check in/out code against a VSS Server 6.0d?
Thanks in advance

Re: Server 4.14, Client 4.12: local cache incompatibility?
In Case2, it is confirmed that was a human error (user didn't save file correctly). Case 1, the user said that she had undone a checkout and there is no backup saved in _sgbak. She still remembers the code update and could rewrite the lost portion. I have tried to reproduced the issue (same conditio...

Server 4.14, Client 4.12: local cache incompatibility?
Hi, We have updated our Server from 4.12 to 4.14 last week. I have updated my Vault Client to 4.14.18402. Right after the client update, when I logged in and connected to a repository, I have noticed that it took longer than usual (2, 3 minutes) before the GUI display the repository folder tree. Was...

Re: VS2005 remove file from Project = Delete in Vault?
It's possible that this project type does something unusual, and that's why you're seeing this behavior. We'll investigate. Excluding a file from a project should not delete it from Vault. Deleting a file, on the other hand, should. Please ignore, issue solve. It's just because of the confusing GUI...
