Re: Feature Request: show names instead of usernames

Alternatively, the ability to hook a different username to AD instead of the vault username would be very nice.

Feature Request: show names instead of usernames

Please help me out if this already exists, but in most places in Vault, when a user is indicated, it displays the username (login name). This has been fine, but we're changing our usernames out to some completely incomprehensible things (don't ask why.) It would be very nice to change the "Chec...

And while we're on the topic, what is it doing during the "Retrieving repository structure information from the server..." stage? It's not retrieving anything, and the server isn't busy. My workstation is totally swamped for about 3 minutes every time it does that. I assume it's calculatin...

Super slow deletes/renames

Since Vault 4, it seems that every time I delete or rename a file, I am forced to get an entire tree refresh (translate that as 3 minutes of my local workstation being completely busy.) And it seems to have to do this refresh twice (working, then more working.) Is there an option I'm missing?

Configuration Annoyance after Upgrade

It's really annoying how much configuration I lose every time I upgrade Vault. Specifically, I lose the log file directory, the working directory, and the upload size. But more importantly, I lose all the shadow folders I have configured. What a pain! Can we somehow retain this configuration informa...

Yes indeed a file showed checked-out in the admin tool that does not appear checked-out in the client. I did an undo check out and then was able to move the folder. Pretty strange.

Cannot move folder, Vault reports checked out when it isn't

I'm trying to move a folder in my repository under Vault 4.0.2. I have searched the folder and no files in it or any subfolders are checked out. When I move it, it says the transaction fails: 2007 12:18:35 PM] Preparing data to begin transaction [8/8/2007 12:18:35 PM] Beginning transaction [8/8/2007...

Also Beeps in Vista

I also experience a system default beep in Vista when I select anything on the right hand pane. I don't see any error messages. Strange, huh? This is my home computer running Vista Premium (so not attached to a domain, but completely updated.)

Begging on knees feature request (multiple file pin)

I have several situations where I need to pin about 400 individual files in a single directory. Don't ask why we have 400 files in a directory all individually shared (ok, since you asked, they're CAD drawings and are individually released and approved.) Could you pretty-please let me select multipl...

No share history?

I hope somebody can tell me I'm missing something, but when I look in the history of shared files, I can't find any entry that the "share" operation happened. Needless to say, when I filter to show only the share operations, nothing appears. This seems consistent over all shared files I ca...

I can do that, but I have a couple of observations: The load on the server comes in bursts. It seems to be fine for a long time and then suddently lock up for a very long time. Our server isn't a slouch; it's a good dual processor machine with lots of ram. Also, the CPU use isn't really that high, s...
