Moving from Check Out/Edit/Check In -> Get/Edit/Merge
Using v4.1.4 and plan on moving from "Check Out/Edit/Check In" to "Get/Edit/Merge". Other than changing the settings within the vault client and integrated client within Visual Studio, what other steps do we need to take to get this switched over? Do we want/need to unselect the ...

Re: DLLs not being added to source control
A few things: 1. Your BIN and OBJ folders are not kept under source control. Binary format files don't version and since they are by definition not source files, it just doesn't make sense to keep them under source control. 2. You are referencing external assemblies. Since they are external to your ...

Upgrade 4.1.1 to 4.1.2?
We are running a 50 user install of 4.1.1 across a number of teams. Coordinating upgrades is always difficult as most of us don't work together on a day to day basis. I think about upgrading to 4.1.2 but always wonder if there is another release coming down the pipe? I don't have any specific issues...

Annoyance using Vault and Fortress at the same time
I use both the enhanced Vault and Fortress clients (projects at work use Vault, a smaller side project uses Fortress). Within Visual Studio, I am unable to use the same keyboard mappings for both clients as VS will only allow you to assign a particular keyboard map to one or the other. Not sure ther...

Feature Suggestion: Change Tracking / Auto Backup
I use source control for many reasons but one of these is to provide an off site (at least off of my desktop / laptop) backup of the work that I have in progress. To this extent, I feel good checking in all my work at the end of the day before leaving the office with my laptop in tow. But when worki...

SccLocalPath
We are building a templating system for our developers, many of whom are on the green end of things especially when it comes to source control. And I think I just hit a roadblock with our plans.... We pull down a "template" of our solution and a couple of associated class libraries using t...
