Re: Updating File Status

I was hoping that Fortress would be able to tell me whether any of the files have changed. That's one of things that I like about the GUI client is that it will tell me if something has been modified even if I can't remember.

Updating File Status

Is there a reliable way to force Fortress to update the status of each file? Using the GUI client, if you change the working folder association for a project, Fortress will display the status as Unknown. If you then do a Get Latest on a file or do a Show Differences on a file, it seems to start a pr...

We are currently using both custom fields. In addition, there are only 4 possible values for risk so we would like to use a drop down list. Using a custom field would require free text entry and thus we couldn't ensure that the values entered were all consistent. Would it be possible for you to indi...

If the Fortress item number automatically gets put into the Comments and ends up in the soource file under the $Log$ keyword, that would do the trick.

Fortress Item Number in Source Code

When you check in a source code file you can link the checkin to a Fortress Item. This updates the status of the item and when you view the item you can see the list of source files that were modified as part of addressing the item. Is there a way to get Fortress to put the item number into the sour...

Keyword Expnasion

Is there anyway to enable/disable keyword expansion on a per project basis? We use Fortress for source code control of stored procedures in a database. Each stored procedure has a header with keywords so that revision history comments get added to the header. When we prepare an upgrade script for a ...
