Hello,
Was there a resolution to this? I am having the same exact problem. Ever since I upgraded to 7 using the Vault client within Visual Studio 2012 IDE is completely unbearable. If go offline, everything is fast again.
Any suggestions?

I am having a similar problem. When I perform a rename of a file in Visual Studio 2008 or I add a file to the solution, it can take up to 20 minutes for the whole process to complete. When I have to perform a number of these types of operations, I now just take the solution offline, perform my adds ...
