Re: Gold support issue and also clearing

Thanks...that's extremely drastic for what my needs are. Is there a way to go into Query Analyzer and run a query that will update all those projects to "closed" status so they don't appear as active?

Gold support issue and also clearing

First, I pay for Gold Support, but the Gold Support forum is read-only for me. Can that be fixed somehow?

Next, I want to completely clear out my Dragnet database in Fortress and start fresh (including categories, etc.). Is that possible and if so, how?

Thanks!

Set as default greyed out

When I bring up Visual Basic 6, it is integrated with Vault and will come up with the login screen. I have a profile setup, but can't automatically login because the box to set it as my default profile is greyed out. Any ideas how to fix that?

No emails

I have reviewed the forum and found one topic about this and it involved configuring anti-virus software to allow the email, but we do not have this as an issue and Dragnet is not sending notifications to me anymore. How can I fix the problem? I get nothing in the event log about this either. Thanks...

OK, well it turns out there is still a problem. If the developer uses the Visual Studio IDE to check out and check in files and then runs the local debugger, he ends up getting an ACL error that crashes the Visual Studio IDE. The only fix is to reinstall the .NET framework. If he uses the Vault clie...

It turns out that the developer needed to reinstall the .NET Framework and once he did that, his problems went away.

Thanks again for your help!

Well the project was already set to file access and not FrontPage access, so we removed all files from the Vault and then used "Add solution to source control" to get them in. That is what worked. The developer is developing and debugging everything on his local machine. He is saying that ...

Linda,

That got the project into source control but now the web debugging is broken. How can we get that to work again and still have the source code in the Vault?

Thanks!

Source Controlled FrontPage Web?

Hi, My web developer has just begun coding a .NET (C#) project in Visual Studio 2003. He began the project without using the Vault or any source control tool at all. After 1 week and reviewing his code, I asked him to get his code checked into the vault. He used the Vault Client to add the files. He...

Eric, First, before I did the merge I made a copy of both branches so I could compare and satisfy myself that the merge happened. Well, I've done a diff on some forms that I KNOW have changes and the alleged merged copy is actually MISSING all the changes that were made. So, the target branch seems ...

Merge not picking up changes in individual files/crashing

I am using v. 3.0.5. I have two branches that have some substantial differences in some of the files. I've run the merge wizard. I've committed the changes. The only thing that seems to work right is that files are added to the one branch from the other that were not already there. However, any chan...

Integration Into VB 6 IDE

I am having a problem that I can't quite figure out. I have moved to a new laptop. On the OLD laptop I could open up the VB IDE and from the Tools Menu I'd have a Source Control menu where I could check in and out files, etc. I do not have this on the new laptop. The only thing I know is different b...

Restoring Vault backup

OK, one of our guys "accidentally" deleted an entire branch of code. I had a backup of this information, so first, I did a backup of the current information. My plan was to do a backup, get all the code, and then restore the current backup. So, I do a backup and name it "prior to rest...
