Re: Vault Performance / Hardware

Hi
SG Support did ask:
4) Do you know if ALL of your users have *unchecked* the "Request database delta on repository cache miss" on the "Network Settings" options?

At PDC some developers has this option checked some hasn't. What is the recommended setting of this option?

According to Vault 10 System Requirements (http://sourcegear.com/vault/documentation/sysreq.html) Vault Server requires at least the .NET Framework 4.5 My Windows Server running SourceGear Vault Service has .NET Framework 4.5.2 (Version 4.5.51650/Release 379893). Re: Vault Performance / Hardware

Hi The issue is not the SQL Server. The SQL server is running at dedicated Windows Server. We have carefully monitored the performance of the SQL server. The SQL is waiting to deliver the results to the Vault Server. Vault server is running at dedikated Windows Server only running Vault Web Service....

Vault Performance / Hardware

Hi
Due to increasing activity CPU usage sometimes skyrocks to 98% for several hours. Vault Server is running at Windows Server (VMWARE Guest with 4 vCPU). I'm considering adding 4 or 8 vCPU. Do I need to reconfigure IIS or reinstall Vault Server after adding more vCPU?

Automated List users access to repository

I need a list of every user and access to every repository. I know I can get this at Admin/Groups.aspx or by using the Security Reporter Tool. I need an automated way to get this report to be able to do a scheduled list for auditing. A SQL query would be fine or command line version of the Security ...

Re: The specified path, file name, or both are too long

Hi
Is there any news regarding Vault (Vault Server and Vault Clients) supporting long file path (beyond the old 260 char limit). Windows 10 and Windows 2016 now supports file path longer than 260 chars (Enable Win32 long paths).

Re: Users Last Login

I would like to suggest the option of logging the timestamp of last login for a user in to a SG Vault database. Eg. [sgmaster].[dbo].[users] table. For auditing it would be very nice in an easy way to document last login to to Vault Service for users. The sgvault.log is a termporary file and not sui...

Vault Server at same Windows server as SQL Server

Hi If the SQL Server has plenty of ressources - RAM, CPU, disk i/o is there any disadvantage by installing Vault Server at same Windows Server as the SQL server? Could there be an increase in I/O performance between SQL server and Vault (IIS) by this setup? The Windows server will only run Vault (II...

Re: Can the Vault Databases Be Renamed?

I'm not sure I understand your answer. Is it correct that I can have multiple sets of Vault Databases at the same instance of MS SQL Server, but you do not recommend it due to performance issues?
