Hi,
I'm testing a connection for a user and I get the following when trying to connect to the SOS server:
" ** The network connection to the server was closed ** "
Does this mean I have no access to any VSS DBs or is this another issue in SOS?
Thank you

Re: SOS 5 licensing
Thanks Beth - but this doesn't answer my question but it may not have been clear either - sorry about that. To clarify the question the groups are under the same company/corporation however they work off of different VSS servers for different development projects/products so can we transfer one of t...

SOS 5 licensing
Hello, We're currently using SOS 5 and have approximately 18 to 21 seat licenses - however the team group I support is only using part of these. My question is can we have another group use some or part of the seat licenses currently not in use as the group will most likely not grow again? Also, the...

Re: User cannot connect using newly created key file
The OS on the client side is Windows 7
I should also note that we have other users in the same location that are not having this issue and they are also using Windows 7 as well.
Thank you

Re: SOS does not support NT authentication
Thank you - that answers my question for both posts... SOS does not support Windows authentication the way VSS does. When SOS users log in, they need to use their VSS username and password. You can set SOS Client for auto login by clicking the "Connect automatically" and "Remember pa...

Re: Logging into a VSS and authentication
Hi, Sorry I think my question is from my second post which can be deleted if necessary. But "SOS does not support NT authentication - Does this still hold true for the latest versions of SOS 5.x.x?" There is no integration for NT authentication which means the logon from the SOS client mus...
