Dragnet does integrate with Vault. You are correct, and it was inappropriate/inadvertant that I suggested otherwise. I guess my point is that a well secured and Windows integrated web site/server doesn't allow anonomous access and that it would be nice if the Dragnet product could be enhanced to ac...

New/Extended Feature Requests

I have a couple of simple feature requests that I would like to submit for your (hopefully serious) consideration: (A) The number of custom fields (two, I believe) is severly limiting. This should be raised to something closer to 10 or more. Yes, a complicated form is counter productive, but sometim...

Thanks for the reply ...

Thanks for your reply. I have a couple more questions, if I may. (A) I am happy to write my own custom controls if that is waht would be best. Are you able/willing to share the basic code associated with these controls to save me the time? (B) I don't see any documentation online with regard to the ...

What time frame are we talking about?

Thanks for your investigation and follow-up. Can you give me an idea of what time-frame we are talking about here? Hours, days, weeks, months? The whole reason we bought Dragnet was because of the integration it had with Dragnet. Without that, it lacks importnat core functionality for our developmen...

Integrate Dragnet w/ Share Point

We use Share Point portals for our ongoing projects. Our external clients uses these portals to collaberate with us. In the past, we would use the standard List controls in Share Point to have outside users send us bugs/issues/requests/etc. We want to expose the license-free "Add Item" fun...

Integrating Vault & Dragnet w/o Anon Access

We have a single server running Vault and Dragnet. The Dragnet website (in fact, all websites other than Vault) requires Windows Integrated security and no anonomous access. The only reason Vault doesn't require it is that the client can't get to the webservice. It would be nice if the Vault client ...

Admin password lost

One of our QA people changed and lost/forgot the "admin" password to our Dragnet system. Is there anyway to reset this without the old password? As an alternative, is there a way to go directly to the database and add myself into the user administrator's role so that I can change the passw...

I did restart IIS, but I have what is possibly a related error in that new (i.e. uncached) users can't be authenticated because IIS apparantly can no longer see the domain controller. Let me solve that first and I'll get back to you if there is still a problem.

Server error loading site

I get the following error when trying to browse to the default page in our 1.0.4 Dragnet application (hopefully it means more to you than to me): -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Server Error in '/Dragnet' Application. ---------------------------------...

Then where does it get the "run as" information?

I'm okay with no dragnet.config file, but then where do I specify the domain\account and password that Dragnet should impersonate? Right now it's impersonating some generic local account.

Missing dragnet.config

I was running v1.0.3 fine. I ran the uninstaller, and while it appeared to work (i.e. the files were all gone), it would throw an error near the end and claim that it failed. Anyway, I used the v1.0.4 installer and did a fresh installation, attaching it to the existing database. The installation ran...

Color me stupid.

Short answer: When you see a "FailNotValidLogin" in your log file, it's either that the account doesn't exist or that it is set to "inactive". Long answer: When I do an upgrade, I disable everyone's account and I don't re-enable them until (A) the upgrade is done and (B) they con...

Vault Server 3.1.1 unable/unwilling to authenticate AD users

This morning, I had a v3.0.6 installation. I uninstalled v3.0.6 (keeping the DB) and installed v3.1.1 (upgrading the DB). I updated the web.config's ConfigPath and ConnectString. I updated the vault.config's ActiveDirectoryDomain. I can successfully log into the server from the local machine and a r...
