I know that you have my database related to the Import/Export problem. I was told by another tech that you guys were going to need a few weeks to resolve the problems. Its already been a few weeks so by the time we have a potential fix it is going to be over a month on this problem. I have a client ...

Im using the latest version of Vault. I have already cleared out the cache according to that document.

This is crazy then. I have 2 admins that can log into the same vault server with the admin tool and they have completely different views. Sounds like a serious bug to me.

I'm not sure if you are understanding me here. The folder was obliterated . If I look at the tree on the obliterate tab with the other admins profile then the folder is gone. If I look at the tree with my profile then the folder is still there. If I click on the folder I get the error that I listed ...

Refresh view on Obliterate tab

We have obliterated some folders from our Vault database. These obliterations were done by another user. When I go to the obliterate tab in the admin app, I still see the folders that were obliterated. When I click on one of the folders that was obliterated, an error box with this message: 1206 : Fa...

Hello, hello. anybody out there? I decided to split the pieces of the export up a little bit but they are still a good size. I have one export that has currently been running for 2 days at a steady pace and still holding solid. Luckily no timeouts. I have close to the same setup as you but with a ra...

Ok so assuming I can get the 6 seconds per transaction that you claim, I will be looking at a 3 day process since I have determined that I need to export 36,000 transactions. What must I do to ensure that there are no timeouts during this process? What if one transaction fails? Can the tool recover ...

Import/Export Tool Usage

I need to move a large piece of a repository to another repository. I did a test export on a small piece of the repository and it took much longer than I anticipated. The Import/Export utility reported that I had 508 transactions. It took 2.5 hours to complete the export. The test folder contains on...

Do you have to have the Perform Repository Deletions Locally option set to Remove Working Copy for this to work?

The release notes for version 3.1.9 state the following Visual Studio Client - Deleted files in web projects in Visual Studio 2005 no longer get added back to the project if the Get Latest is done on the project file. - Web project files are now retrieved after an Open From Source Control when the V...

Hi Linda, we have tried connecting a new instance of Vault to an existing Vault Database that we moved to a new location (new server). Everything worked as expected. We are having a problem obliterating parts of the repository that are not relevant to the client that we moved the database for. Basic...

I have the log file. Its 2.6 mb though. Where should I send it? There should be one instance of the 1st problem and 2 instances of the second problem. the second problem started happening like mad. It really only happened a few times with Vault 3.1.6. Since the install of Vault 3.1.7 its been non st...

Ok, I will enable the client side logging. Are you sure the 1st problem is a timeout issue? The cc.net build logs show running times of the failed builds at 4 to 9 seconds. That doesnt seem like much of a timeout to me.

Hopefully the logging will provide some further insight.

I have 7 CC.Net projects configured. I just started seeing the second error last week. Granted, I did add a few more projects to CC.Net last week. I'm not really seeing the error all that much. It happened 2 or 3 times last week and then once today. I will update you as I see things progress through...
