Re: Feature request - folder compare, copy files left/right

I second this request to be able to copy files. WinMerge does this, but I'd like to get off of WinMerge and onto a diffmerge package that runs on both Windows and Mac OSX. Another thing WinMerge does is in folder view (when comparing folders) it has a File Date column, one for the left tree and one ...

Issue Solved

The issue was solved, it was a problem for SSL in general. Granting the "Everyone" group "Read & Execute" permission on the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys folder solved the problem. See the notes at http://support.sourceg...

Issue Resolved - Permissions

After contacting Microsoft, we discovered the source of the problem was permissions for 'Everyone' in the Crypto folder. Granting the "Everyone" group "Read & Execute" permission on the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys fold...

Would you please provide an answer for the certificate question (should it look different than it does? does it need to be signed? how do we sign it?) here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=6336 SSL is the only thing remaining to get working before we go live. Thanks and best regards,

Certificate Signing

I'm not sure what you mean about signing the certificate -- typically a certificate is used to sign something else. Attached are screenshots of the certificate we are using, and the root certificate. Should it look differently? Would you please tell us how to change the certificate if it needs chang...

Still having problems

Hi Linda, No, we can't access it with a browser. We created a new certificate that matched the server name, but still have the same problem. This is a Windows Server 2003 R2 operating system. Attached is a group of screenshots with our complete configuration and browser tests. Please let us know if ...

SSL Support Problems

We recently purchased Vault and have successfully set it up in unencrypted mode. We are trying to get SSL support going so we can go live. After successfully assigning a certificate to the web site, we can no longer connect. I have verified that when switched back to unencrypted mode, the system sti...

Could be a language issue

Hi Linda, I'll try your suggestion. It is the English version of VSS 2005, but it is being installed on a machine with a language (non-English) version of Win XP, I believe. Since it's a .NET error, I'll also pursue any patches to the .NET 2.0 Framework that may be necessary. I'll post the results. ...

VSS 2005 - Have the correct version

Hi Linda, Thanks for your very prompt response! It is also useful information for everyone to know the exact version you tested. I took a look at the install files directory (I rolled back to VSS 6.0d so I'm just looking at the VSS 2005 installer) and all the DLLs on the install disk are at 8.0.5072...

Having Troubles with VSS 2005

Hello, I uninstalled VSS 6.0d and then installed VSS 2005 on the SOS 4.1.2 server. I am able to connect but every file list request gets "Operation failed." Here's the log: 29.4.2006 16:45:32 - 1: 'Kevin' connected to database \\yuma\source\SN\srcsafe.ini 29.4.2006 16:45:34 - Exception dur...

Whoops. Wrong version.

It would be even stranger if it were true! However, I have version 4.1 at home and got confused about which version I was using at work. Sure enough, upgrading the 4.0.2 version at work restored Ctrl-S, and so far status searches have been working perfectly now that we have fixed the VSS 6.0d thread...

Appears to Work but...

The administrator followed the instructions to adjust for the concurrency issue (changed the threading model) and the status search appears to be working now. However, SOS 4.1 seems to have gotten rid of the Ctrl+S shortcut key for Status Search, and does not appear to have been reassigned. While I ...

Yes, the SOS server hangs and we must restart the server to allow others to login. However, we are still investigating the possibility of a setup issue with VSS 6.0d: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=1866 The person in charge of the investigation is away on business travel at the moment...

Status Search Hangs Server

A recursive status search for all files checked out to me (something I do religously) will hang the entire server quite often. After the first time this happened, I checked this site and Linda recommended that we re-register ssapi.dll following some specific instructions. We did that, and status sea...
