Hi Beth, thanks for getting back to me.
Initially I added them through VS. Subsequently I removed the projects in VS, added them to the Source repository folder using Vault GUI and then tried to add them back in VS.

Problems with repository path and working folder
Hi I have a folder structure like this: Source proj1 proj2 solution1 solution2 ... and so on. I have added 2 new projects (proj3 and proj4), shared between 2 solutions but one or the other kept showing a "files are missing on disk" icon on both solutions. It appeared that when it was added...

Autocheckout code behind when using RazorGenerator
Hi When using Razor Generator to build MVC views into your dll, each View cshtml file gains a cs file behind it. For example, index.cshtml gets a backing file of index.generated.cs. If you edit a view then that view is automatically checked out by Vault however the cs file behind is not and remains ...

Shared file not appearing in PC folder
Hi Beth very kindly walked me through how to manage "shared" files in a VS project in April last year. When I say "shared" I mean that in VS projects I create a link to the file. I need to add a new "shared" file now which is accessed by several solutions and have follo...

Work Items vanished
Hi
I have just moved my Vault install to a different server (database and all) and upgraded to the latest release.
All my work items have gone! Under Item Tracking Projects it says no projects exist.
Any idea how to get them back?
Many thanks
John

VCB Support
Hi We are wanting to use VCB (Versioning Controlled Build) which allows us to easily manage the version numbering in our product. With over 30 projects in the main solution it is a huge timesaver. Just one problem, when it updates AssemblyInfo.vb and the project, Vault black flags the file. Is there...

Re: Vault stability
Hi Linda Thanks for the response. I am happy to conduct a remote assist session and will email you as requested. The problem seems to lie with the name changes. The following sequence: Friday pm: Leave Office Sat am: At home Get Latest. All OK. Rename object Rename the file containing the object Cre...

Vault stability
Having recently purchased Vault I am encountering some serious problems with it. I have a reasonably large solution running in VS2010 and spread over 22 projects which is undergoing a lot of change. I am working from 2 machines (office and home). Home connects via a VPN over broadband. The problems ...

Re: Change default user
Thanks for the response Beth however this did not work. I followed your instructions, the Vault client prompted me for my password (showing the correct user). I then Disconnected From Server and exited the client. Started VS2010 and opened a solution which is under Vault SCC and no user/password was...

Change default user
Hello
Having now purchased Vault I seem unable to prevent VS2010 connecting as Admin by default when I open a solution which uses Vault. How can I get the client to forget who I am and thus ask me to login again?
Many thanks
