I rebooted my client machine but that still didn't help.

Looking at the log file I found the following:

VaultFileUpload.aspx encountered: an exception while calculating the CRC for AddFile. Error in the application.

Error checking in file

I just added the new AJAXToolkit.dll file to my bin directory. When I do a checkin on the file I get the following two errors: "Files could not be mapped to the Vault Project $/SiteName/Bin" "Failed to check in one or more files. Some files remain checked out or not added." Anyon...

Help opening project from Source Control

I got a new development machine and I'm trying to open up a project from Vault but am having problems with it. In VS 2005 I went to File | Source Control | Open from Source Contorl. I then log in and I'm shown a list of Repositories. I then select my Repository. I'm then asked to select the director...

I just found out that he did not check in the project file. That is probably what caused the problem. I was able to see the file in the Vault Client and what I didn't understand was that the status was set to "Missing". I had him zip up and email the files and I just copied and pated into ...

Help with posting .aspx pages from multiple developers

I’m new to using Source Control and I’m looking for suggestions on how to handle the following scenario. We have two developers working on ASP.Net applications. We have come to determine that it is best that we have a designated person who gets the latest copy of the files from Vault, builds the pro...

About Using Groups

I'm assuming that I can create a Group, assign users to it, and then assign a group to a Repository. That way only users in that Group can access the Repository. Is that the way Groups are to be used? If so, how do I add a Group to a Repository? I've created my Groups and added Users but don't see h...

license issue

I just upgraded my old license to Gold Support in order to get v3.1. I was sent an email with a serial number for the two licenses I upgraded. When I go to the Admin Tool | License tab and paste in the serial # I get a message that the serial # is for Gold Support and to go to the web site to get my...

Upgrade and move to new server

I am currently on version 2.05 and just upgraded to the Gold Support for the v3.1 license. Since I’m about to do an upgrade, I want to move to another SQL Server that has more memory and drive space. What is the best way to upgrade and move my DB to another server all at the same time? Obviously I w...
