Thanks for the pointer to the KB article. I was hoping it would be this simple.
I'm assuming that Vault will take care of setting SQL security during the install on the new server?

Best Practices - Moving Vault to New Server
Hi,
Could you point me to a document that discusses best practices/procedures for moving Vault to a new server? I didn't find anything via a quick glance in the Knowledge Base.
Thanks
Mike

Re: Experiences with Visual Studio 2010 B2
If you uninstall the Vault Client and then reinstall it, you should see it (that's what I had to do).
I'm using VS2010 with the Vault client (Enhanced) for a "low risk" project and I haven't seen any issues yet with Vault.

Experiences with Visual Studio 2010 B2
Was wondering if anyone has had any experience (good or bad) with VS2010 B2 and Vault 5.0.1, Enhanced Client. The 2010 beta seems very stable and we're considering moving some applications to it -- of course one of our considerations is the stability of the enhanced client in 2010. Any feedback is a...

Two Separate VaultServices Pointing to Same Database
Is there any reason that you can't install the VaultService on two separate IIS servers and point them at the same Vault database? We would like to have one VaultService be served via Local LAN and a second be served outside our LAN (public). Would impact would this have on licensing (if any)? Or is...

Delay with File Save with VS2005 Client
When saving a file in Visual Studio 2005, Vault 4.0.1 and VS2005 client, there is an approximate 2 second hourglass delay every time that you save a file. While this doesn't sound like much, I am a chronic Ctrl+S file saver and a file save blocks the UI thread and pretty much prevents you from doing...

Upgrading from MSSCCI client to VS 2005 in 4.0
Can someone point out some documentation on how to upgrade a VS project from the MSSCCI client to VS2005 client in 4.0? I've dug through the help and this forum and haven't been able to find anything. So far the only way I've been able to do it is to open the project file in a text editor and remove...

Checked Out Files Do Not Show as Checked Out inside VS 2005
Using 4.0.1, VS 2005 Client In my dev. environment I have both a laptop and workstation. If I checkout files onto my laptop and then do a get latest on the workstation, the files that I checked out are not showing as checked out inside of VS. Using the 2003 client, VS would show the files as checked...

Same name or object ID already exists error
I am using Vault 3.5, VS2005 with integration. When trying to check-in a new file from my C# project from with VS, I get a 'Item $FILE_NAME$ caused the transaction to fail: An item with the same name or object id already exists in the selected folder.' error. I checked the folder/file referenced in ...

Feature Request - Auto Selection of Single Repository
When logging in with the VS client, it would be nice if Vault would automatically select the Default Repository if you are only using one repository (instead of always prompting you to basically just press the OK button).
