Re: How do I script a DiffMerge of two Vault versions?

There's no provision for diffing two file versions. A workaround might be to use GetVersion, to get one version into the working directory and another version into a different directory on disk, then do the compare of the working folder version with "local." Thanks, Linda. Clearly the Vau...

How do I script a DiffMerge of two Vault versions?

I'm using Vault 5.0.2. I'd like to do something like the following from the command line but am unsure of the syntax: Vault DIFF -host localhost -user xxx -password "xxxxx" -repository "Initial Repository" -compareto current -vaultdiff "C:\Program Files\SourceGear\Vault Clie...

Re: No checkin comment for 'Add this File'

We would like to see this added as well. It's misleading to suggest you can set this option for the repository and then discover that sometimes it's not enforced. Though I certainly appreciate the technical differences between these activities, the intent of configuring the repository this way is to...

Re: User cannot log in: VaultSqlConn.RollbackTransaction failed?

We are not using AD authentication. And I changed the password several times and tried to log in from a different client and the Web client than the user herself (so two completely different Windows clients, one of which is mine and works fine when I log in as myself). Anyway, it's not the username ...

User cannot log in: VaultSqlConn.RollbackTransaction failed?

I have a user (name replaced with myuser below) who suddenly cannot log into our Vault installation this morning. Every time she logs in, she sees the following error (Windows and Web client, both). Login Failed: The username or password supplied is invalid. The problem, however, is not with her use...

Re: User cannot use Vault because a file already exists?

After calling in, Beth advised me to delete the local client cache for change set items and the problem went away. Thank you!

User cannot use Vault because a file already exists?

I've got a user who cannot use an installation of Vault any longer. It works fine when they login on another machine but I need it to work from this particular machine--and I cannot lose the working folder mappings and knowledge of the local versions retrieved on this computer. When I log in I get a...

If the checkout location is no longer available, then I think your only recourse is to undo the checkout with the Admin Client. Let the other users know -- their locally modified files will become Renegade, but when they check them out again they'll be Edited. This is a fine short-term solution, bu...

Re: FailDBFault on undo check out

The problem is that I checked out a file as this user (tester, in this case) on a different machine. AND THEN that machine was renamed to something else, so Vault thinks I have the file checked out under the old machine name. I tried to go undo the checkout and it won't let me. I can't use the Admin...

FailDBFault on undo check out

We are using Vault 4.1.1 (18060). I have one user who cannot undo the checkout of two different files, instead receiving the following error:

A database error has occured (FailDBFault)

Vault 4.1.1 - Can't rename a folder

Using Vault 4.1.1 (18060): I have been renaming files/folders in Vault and got the following error message when trying to change the folder name Social_Studies6_02_01 to SS6_02_01 [6/4/2008 11:08:45 AM] An error occurred while trying to begin a transaction. [6/4/2008 11:08:45 AM] Transaction failed ...
