Re: How to roll back to a label/date?
+1 vote for this from me. Severe limitation of Vault, should have been in since forever. The lack of this feature being in is about to cost me a day's work to remove 4 massive bad checkins. edit: the trick of getting a labelled copy of the whole tree into a new folder, checking out the entire soluti...

Re: Can't upload large files to Vault
"Use chunked encoding" was unticked - ticking it in the Vault GUI client fixed the issue in both the GUI client and the VS enhanced client, although the check-in took a VERY long time (mostly paused at the Completing Transaction stage)
Thanks

Re: Can't upload large files to Vault
Sorry, yes, my logins were there fine. Nothing in Event Viewer on the client or server (application or system logs) for the period of the transfer. Uploading one of the files with the Vault GUI client results in a "Check in/commit transaction failed" error with the following message: [29/0...

Re: Can't upload large files to Vault
Hi Beth
No errors listed in sgvault.log, just the logins and logouts from our build system.
What's next?
Thanks

Can't upload large files to Vault
Hi Trying to upload a couple of large files to Vault as part of a large "add to vault" operation from Visual Studio 2005 (on a web application solution) I have altered the maxRequestLength attribute of the httpRuntime element in vaultservice\web.config to 1024000 (1000 megabytes), which is...

Good stuff, I wasn't even aware that collection of buttons existed. Very useful.

Getting a folder as-at a point in time, no label/branch
Hi I am in a situation where I need to fetch a (large) folder from Vault as it existed at a particular point in time. Unfortunately there was no label or branch created at the point where I need to get to. Is there any way to do this? I can't find an obvious way to do this through the Vault client. ...

That will do the job nicely, thanks very much for the pointer. Obvious in retrospect.

File-level branch merge
Hi
If I want to merge changes to a single file in a branch back to the "trunk" of that branch, is there a good way to do so with Vault? I only seem to be able to do that with a whole folder.
We're at v4.1.3.18336.
Thanks
Tom

Re: Bug tracker integration API?
Well I have knocked up a simple ASP.NET page that masquerades as Fogbugz' cvsSubmit.asp and does the job I need it to. When I get it to production quality I'll post it here, if that's ok? How would one persuade the various checkboxes and the browse button on the Check In form to spring to life, and ...

Re: Bug tracker integration API?
Okay, I'll look into doing just that. Thanks for the lead Jeremy - it must conflict with your business model somewhat to allow this, what with Fortress doing bug tracking. I'll investigate the feasibility of doing this over the next few days. In the long term, I think it'd be great to have this as a...

Bug tracker integration API?
Hi I am wondering if Vault Client supports 3rd party plugins of any description. Reason I ask is that I would like to write a plugin to allow integration between Vault's check in file dialogue, and our OnTime bug tracking software from Axosoft. I.e. I would like to be able to type/browse for a bug n...

Re: VSIP "padlocks" in solution explorer don't always update
No chance of getting a checkbox in the options to allow toggling between the 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 behaviour, with the default set in favour of 4.1.3?
This is a shame for us because we have a "relatively" small solution (circa 15 projects), but we make very heavy use of solution folders.
