Folder exclusion wildcard

Would it be possible to have folder wildcard exclusions added into the folder compare for DiffMerge? The scenario is that the source directory has Resharper files in it and the target doesn't. I'd like to exclude _Resharper.* The existing exclusions don't work as ReSharper uses a directory unique pe...

That's good to hear :)

Is there any more info that you can point to that describes the security mechanisms of Vault; I don't recall seeing any info that describes the cryptographic mechanisms that vault uses.

Thanks!

Require SSL

Since the AD username/password is being sent over the net, can the AD integration require (or at the very least strongly warn) that SSL should be mandatory for the virtual directory in IIS?

Active Directory Issues

I found a small bug in the active directory code -- In the server options where it asks for an AD Domain, it won't accept the full DNS name. Originally I tried ntdomain.mydomain.com, and that wouldn't work. When I switched it to simply ntdomain (the netbios domain name), it worked. Can this be docum...

Feature Request: SQL Server 2005 support

Can the DDL that the Vault install tool generates be fixed to work in SQL 2005? There are a couple of syntax changes that affect the 2.0 scripts that cause them to fail on 2005. The syntax changes really are just "more strict" than SQL 2000 but do not do anything that'd fail on 2000. Thing...

You need to upgrade to Vault 2.0.6 to use it with the SQL Management Studio. The SQL 2005 Studio uses the 2.0 framework; previous posts have shown that 2.0.2 will not run on the 2.0 framework while 2.0.6 will.

Feature Request: Domain Account support

I wanted to put in a request for Vault to support Windows Domain Accounts and groups in addition to the existing mechanism. It could be a minor modification to the existing security infrastructure. Accounts and Groups could still be created in Vault as is currently done, but there could be an option...

Vault 2.0.6 on .NET 2.0

Before trying this, I wanted to ask if this has been tested -- Does 2.0.6 run correctly on ASP.Net 2.0 and under VS 2005 as a client?

As an aside, how about SQL 2005 beta 2 as the DB?

I'd rather not lose another repository <VBG>

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the client would work by using the correct <runtime><assemblyBinding> tags in *.exe.config. This is partially true. For the standalone Vault GUI client, then yes, the bindings will force Vault to use the 1.1 framework. Where you have trouble is us...

:D /me takes a bow -- I have now scheduled weekly database backups and daily zip backups of the shadow folder.... being a guenea pig is so much fun! Eric, one thing you may want to play up is the currently planned incompatibility between Hattaras and VS 2003. In serveral posts, Buck Hodges says that...

Okay, the cert was for *.novotny.org rather than novotny.org so it was getting an error. I can just cname vault.novotny.org for it instead so it'll match the certificate pattern.

Thanks,

Shadow Folders out of sync trust relationship?

After adding some new folders and projects via both the the Vault GUI and VS Integration, the shadow folder is no longer getting updated. The sgvault.log shows this: Exception in plugin thread : The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship with remote server. ----17-A...
