Re: Upgrade 10.0 -> 10.0.1

Beth worked with me, and we granted db_owner to NETWORK SERVICE for all vault related DBs, and ran the MSI from an admin command prompt. That resolved the issue.

Done. Also, trying to install Vault 10.0.0 also fails with the same error.

Re: Upgrade 10.0 -> 10.0.1

Run a command prompt as administrator and then launch the installer from there. That can help with adding permissions even to SQL. I tried that, it didn't help. I tried installing the Vault server on my workstation, and if I add domain\myworkstation$ as a sysadmin to the DB server, it updates the d...

Re: Upgrade 10.0 -> 10.0.1

Is the SQL Server on the same machine as the Vault server or on a different machine? During the upgrade, it would have been filled with the same SQL Server used previously. Are you trying to switch SQL Servers? If not, open SQL Server Management Studio and check each one to see which one holds sgva...

Upgrade 10.0 -> 10.0.1

I'm trying to update from 10.0 to 10.0.1. During the install, I didn't notice the SQL server dialog and just hit OK. I had transitioned from the default instance of SQL to a named one (SQL 2008 -> 2014 Express). The connection failed, and I was prompted again but unable to change the server, only gi...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

Ok, I've made a discovery. Not sure how it helps, but hopefully it can help narrow things down. I have TC running under a domain user account which I created specifically to run TeamCity. The Vault app pools actually use this same account (but Vault is on a separate server from TC). I changed the Te...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

I'm drawing a blank on solving this. Yesterday we downloaded each Java CLC - http://download.sourcegear.com/VaultPro/10.0.0.30736/vaultproJavaCLC_10_0_0_30736.zip and http://download.sourcegear.com/Vault/10.0.0.736/vaultJavaCLC_10_0_0_736.zip were downloaded. Downloaded installed TeamCity 2017.1.3 ...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

What if you tried a test using http://vaultdemo.sourcegear.com | Initial Repository | guest2 | guest 2 ? Do you have HTTP disabled? Any chance you can try plain HTTP? If it works in either case with HTTP, please give that first link a read. If HTTPS is going to be used, you're going to have to add ...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

I tried creating another VCS root to another Vault repository, and that doesn't work for me either. So I guess checkout rules aren't the issue.

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

Sorry, our test server was running Windows 2012 Server R2. I've corrected my post. Also, to clarify, we used the Vault Standard version 10 of the the Java CLC. The Vault Standard "Client API" version 10 will not work, nor will the Vault Professional version 10 of the Java CLC. If either o...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

I apologize. I missed your followup post. We've set up TeamCity 2017.1.3 server in house on a Windows 2012 Server with Vault 10 Java API libraries in the .../plugins/VaultAPI/lib/. Within TeamCity, went to -> Administration -> Global Settings. Located the TeamCity Data directory. Next from explorer...

OK, I've been instructed to ask you to try this link: https://confluence.jetbrains.com/display/TCD10/Configuring+TeamCity+Server+Startup+Properties#ConfiguringTeamCityServerStartupProperties-TeamCityinternalproperties Sorry it took a while to get back to this. I tried setting that property and it h...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

I'll ask. While we're waiting, is there a .properties file or .props file that TeamCity uses? Perhaps you can find something in there or search thru the TeamCity files for a mention of Vault? It might be something that you come across in a search. Thanks. There are a lot of .properites files scatte...

Re: TeamCity 2017.1.2 & Vault 10

Is the Vault client working and connecting to the Vault server? Did you put in updated Vault Jar files? On the TeamCity website the instructions say "Put the Vault Java API jars (available with Java Command Line client) into the <TeamCity Data Directory>/plugins/VaultAPI/lib folder." With...
