Re: VS2010 Beta 2 - unable to diff files

We just ran into this problem. Has there been a resolution/update to this? We are using version 3.1.8(3771) of Vault.

Thanks,

Thanks, I emailed you for the query. Is there a better way to do this? I'm not sure what you mean by "undo piecemeal".

Thanks, again!

Obliterate Repository question

I have a developer who added and checked out over 8000 files in a repository over six months ago. He never checked them back in. I am getting errors when I just try to delete the files (I imagine because they are checked out), and when I try to "undo checkout", the data in sql server goes ...

So the fact that they are all version 6 means that they are exactly the same file? If that's the case, I totally understand now!

Thanks,

Since I did that, how do I get back to a previously checked in file? How should I be choosing that file instead of the file I am working on now? Does this mean that I should be labeling the files so that it changes the version number too? If so, how would I do that?

Thanks,

rollback grayed out

Hi, One of the developers here can go into the history of a file, select the file he wants to rollback to, but rollback is grayed out. He has not pinned or branched the file. Is there a setting or something that is keeping him from doing this? I just attempted to do the same thing in another project...

Thanks. I have a follow up question for you... When I perform these steps, I get a dialog box pop-up with the following message: "There is no makefile associated with this project, unable to create a Visual Basic project from this SourceGear Vault project." My assumption here is that the d...

branching modules in vb6

I am using visual basic 6 with sourcegear vault. We have a main trunk. I would like to branch from this trunk for individual changes, then merge back to the main trunk once the change is complete and tested. I only want to branch the specific modules within the project that I am changing for this fi...

The log has been truncated many times during the week or so we've had this problem and so far it has always filled back up.

Thanks,

Multiple transactions are written to the t-log of the DB.

I tried to reply to the topic listed above (http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=7215&highlight=transaction+logs), but it was a Gold Support Forum and I don't have access to reply to it. We're using Vault 3.1.8.3771 and we are also seeing problems with a full transaction log. After disc...

comments while a file is checked out using VB6

Hi, I have a developer that is using VB6 and he wants to record comments while that file is checked out, but before it is checked back in. That way, if he isn't finished with something before going home, he can note where he is and continue the next morning. He doesn't want to have to check somethin...
