Bug: Sorting by Date in Search Results
In Vault Standard 9.1.0.584, when you sort the results in the search panel by Modified Date, it sorts as character data not as date valus, ie.

SQL Deadlocks in Vault Standard 6.1
Since we've upgraded to vault 6.1, we've been encountering fairly regular SQL deadlocks. I think these are related to Index maintenance on the SgVault database. Is there something we can do to diagnose what's going on here? Or is this just related to how many users and transactions we have? This is ...

Re: Sorting Deleted Items
Is there any chance that this enhancement will be added to the next version? It doesn't seem like a big change to just add an ORDER BY clause to the query. I don't care so much about being able to sort the items - just pick a sort order - either by filename, last modified, deleted, etc so I don't ha...

Commit via Right-Click context menu
We just upgraded from Vault 5.0.1 to Vault 5.1.1 and I'm wondering why the "Commit" option was removed from the right-click context menu in the Pending Change Set section of the Vault Client. Now I have to click a tiny checkbox (which requires a much more precise click than just right-clic...

No - we really haven't found the need to do this yet.

Re: Version numbers in Diff using Beyond Compare
Doh. I posted the question before testing enough. There is a slight difference between the command line parameters of BeyondCompare and SGDM. Sgdm uses a : for the title parameter and BeyondCompare uses an =. This fixed the problem. Maybe this will help someone else down the road at least. In SGDM: ...

Version numbers in Diff using Beyond Compare
I've been using the SGDM tool for awhile as I like how it shows that you are comparing Version 32 with Version 33. I get weird errors in displaying character sets when trying to compare PDF's or other more binary-like files. When I switch to use BeyondCompare 3 for the diff display, I fix all of the...

Multi-Line Comments via Command Line
Is there any way to bring in a comment via the command line that would be stored as a multiple line comment in vault? Since the command line comment would need to be a single line string, I'm looking for some token to use (ie., <br> or \n) that would be interpreted by Vault and have the resulting co...

Re: Excluded File Types appear as ghosted files
OK. This is really weird. Yesterday when I put up the post, all of my excluded files were visible as ghosted files. Today, they don't appear. Short of a reboot, I hadn't changed anything. I'm going to chalk this up as sunspots for now as I can't replicate this anymore and I've got the expected behav...

Excluded File Types appear as ghosted files
We've upgraded to Vault 5.0.1, and now I'm noticing that file types we have specified to be excluded now appear as Ghosted files in the file list. Since we've specifically stated that these file extensions shouldn't be included, why would we want to see them ghosted, cluttering up the file list? I d...
