Re: Spurious blank folders appearing in repository list
Update - fixed by resetting the local repository cache. I accidentally answered my own question in my original post - "some information is obviously persisted" - just a question of working out what information and where.

Spurious blank folders appearing in repository list
I'm running Vault 4.1.0 (46216) and seeing a strange problem since installing XP SP3 this morning in a Virtual PC. Several blank (unnamed) folders appear in the repository list that seem to be duplicates of their parent. Perhaps the attached image will explain better than I can. Note that the name o...

Error after upgrade to 4.1 - "Request is not available
I upgraded to the 4.1 server and now I get the following error when accessing the Web site (I haven't tried to access via the client): [HttpException (0x80004005): Request is not available in this context] System.Web.HttpContext.get_Request() +3465845 VaultService.Global.Application_Start(Object sen...

Jeff, thanks for your reply - prompt as ever. I love how you guys treat support requests, even from someone like me who has the free 1-person licence (although I have persuaded clients to use Vault, so it's not all for nothing!) Actually, I've just managed to recover the data off the hard drive (it ...

Lost sgmaster database
Hi I'm trying to reinstall Vault after a HDD crash, and of course it's at this point I discover about the sgmaster database that was added during the 4.0 upgrade. Of course, it was never being backed up and so I've no way of recovering the information. The upgrade seemed to go without problems and d...

Great news Ian. Yes, it's certainly a wierd bug, and it has been a little frustrating :). The first couple of times it happened, I hadn't figured out the workaround, and I had to kill VS. But it's impressive that you got it fixed so quickly. I'm not worried about a back-port as I will be upgrading t...

Commit dialog in VS gets z-order confused
I've been having a problem with z-order in the Commit dialog in 4.0.5 and VS2005 (this occurs under both XP and Vista). If you switch focus to another program (e.g. by clicking on a task bar icon) while the Commit dialog is open, when you click back on the VS icon in the task bar, the Commit dialog ...

My vote too! When the dust has settled, I'd appreciate this being added. There is a related issue to this. I have a VS plug-in that extracts a text string to a resource. Under the old MSSCCI, if resources.resx was not checked out, I would be prompted to do so. Under VSIP, I don't get prompted for ch...
