No problem as long as it gets fixed. Almost all the paths in our 50+ GB repository have '#' symbols in them, so I will unfortunately have to wait for a fix rather than change them all.

Thanks

Are you trying to download the latest version, or a version from history? I am trying to download the latest version (in fact on most things that I was attempting to get, there was only one (1) version) Was the file branched at some point? Are you trying to get a version prior to the branch? No. We...

Error downloading file from Vault via web interface

I am using version 4.0.5.15922 of the Vault Server and I am trying to download some files via the web browser (web sourcecode control area) and I am getting an error when doing so. I go to the file and see the revision history and when I click on the version number of the file to download it I get t...

Right. Basically what I would like to be able to do is do a recursive search from the top level ("$") and find all folder names and filenames that contain the search term. This way any reference to the search term in any folders or filenames would be easy to find. Currently we have 7700+ f...

Search to include folder name?

I love the Vault "Filename Search" feature, but is there a way to include folder names in that search? Sometimes we need to search based on the name of the folder as well as individual files and I could not find a way to do this. If this is not possible, it sure would be a great feature/en...

Print directory contents?

I was wondering if there is an easy way to get a listing (text file, printout, report, etc.) of what files and folders reside undera particular directory/project in Vault? Can you do this from the client or looking directly at the DB?

Thanks,
Keith

Another additional note is that after quite a bit of uploading files into VAULT I started to get more errors and when I looked at the task manager for memory usage I saw that SQL Server had 1.7GB of RAM and the "w3wp.exe" had 1.5GB of RAM. Any ideas? Did it not release RAM after a failed t...

As an added note, I did find the "w3wp.exe" in the task manager (sorry about that) and it says the memory usage is 200MB with 0 CPU usage currently. I also have hit some more files in my importing that I have hit the "System.OutOfMemoryException" error on...so I don't appear to h...

I have a few things to report, but I will start with answering your questions: 1. I looked in the task manager but did not see either of the ".exe" files that you mentioned. I am in the process of importing some other files to Vault currently...maybe that is why? We have Server 2003 with I...

Our server currently has 4 GB of RAM installed. How much more would be needed? I would imagine that 4GB would be enough to handle this kind of operation.

Error uploading a large file into vault (~380MB)

I am trying to upload/check-in a rather large file into Vault version 3.5.4741 and I am getting the following error: "VaultFileUpload.aspx encountered: an exception while opening up the request's input stream: Exception of type System.OutOfMemoryException was thrown." I have updated the Va...

I was getting this error from the upgrade page and decided to upgrade the software to 3.5 (using the downloads page) anyway and it appears that our 3.1 serial we just bought works in it without issue.
