Re: Cruise Control / Force Build

Speed issue appears to be in fortress gui client too, we don't currently use folder security. I'm wondering if maybe I could have a quick phone conversation with someone around there. I wonder if maybe there's some things we can change in our process which might make this run faster... maybe I could...

Cruise Control / Force Build

We use fortress / vault pro with cruise control and I think I recently came to the conclusion that whenever cruise runs a build it's doing a FULL get instead of just grabbing changes. Now I could be wrong here but I hooked up process monitor to the cruise control exe and when the "Getting Sourc...

Re: Moving Items from one tracking project to another

I'd like to second this feature. We prep some of our new milestones in a second project, and then we move stuff into the "Current Development" project. The ability to batch move from one Project to another would be awesome.

Re: Cruise Control 1.4.4 and Fortress 1.1.4

Yes, that's what I tried. The problem is because they changed the AssemblyKeyFile the public key token on the DLL has changed. You can't perform an assembly redirect if the public key token changes.

Re: Cruise Control 1.4.4 and Fortress 1.1.4

I think I spoke too soon on this. It looks like the problem is with the latest version of Cruise Control. They changed the signing information on that NetReflector.dll because they lost the key. It looks like they're working to find the old signing info so this doesn't become a major issue. I've gon...

Cruise Control 1.4.4 and Fortress 1.1.4

Hey guys, I tried to upgrade Cruise Control to version 1.4.4 and can't get it working. It looks like Cruise Control 1.4.4 has a reference to an assembly called NetReflector 1.1.2009.1004 but the Fortress Plugin for Cruise Control has a reference to NetReflector 1.0.0.120. I tried messing around with...

Re: Slow VaultLabel NAnt Task

Or maybe do I need to specifiy the versionId when I call vaultlabel? Any idea what I would pass if I was trying to get this variable from Cruise Control?

Re: Slow VaultLabel NAnt Task

Hey Linda, we're running Fortress Client and Server 1.1.4.18402 I did check the server log but nothing interesting in there, just a login message when the build starts, and then a logout message about 2 minutes later when it finishes. It's really strange - I can't think of anything that would cause ...

Re: Slow VaultLabel NAnt Task

Also, the .chm documentation inside the NantTasks for Fortress doesn't seem to work. WHenever you open a topic you get a "Address is not valid" page on the right.

Thanks,
Chris

Slow VaultLabel NAnt Task

I've been doing some research into the speed of our continuous integration server (Cruise Control) and found something really strange. When I execute the following nAnt script to apply a label to a folder in vault, it takes almost a minute to execute. Running this same command from the Vault Client ...

Fortress Server "Flaky"

In the last few days of doing some offsite development we've found our Fortress Server had become a little "flaky". I'll admit it could totally just be a bad network connection back to the fortress server, but it seems like it's getting worse. On a whim, I decided to check the fortress ser...

Unable to use Obliterate

Whenever I try to use the obliterate function I'm getting the following error message. An error occurred processing the request: Unable to Obliterate item: $/_CBTest All branches of an item must be obliterated before the item itself can be obliterated. It is possible that some of the branched items ...
