I myself haven't tried SAW yet, but my boss did purchase SAW when I was evaluating SOS & Vault. And good performance is one of the reasons we chose SAW.

I am wondering if the performance issue has been fixed in SOS 5.0.3.

It should be doable although it's not convenient to use two source control systems on one machine. Usually, you can directly open the project (double click the sln file) which is bound to Dynamsoft SourceAnywhere or Vault.
