Permission Denied on Login
Hi, Using 5.1.2.19281, SQL Server 2008 We seem to be getting more and more errors of permission denied during logon. An "iisreset /restart" fixes the problem, but it now already happens almost on a weekly basis. Some users can still work on some repositories, others are down. We do databas...

Vault 5.1.0 bugfix
Hi, In sourcegears words, 5.1.0 fixed the following: Resolved issue where a history query for a given folder displayed duplicate history entries when branching had occurred in a sub-folder to another sub-folder within the same given folder. Assuming I understand this correctly, it would be nice if t...

Vault 5.1.1 and Server Maintenance
Hi, In 2005 Sourcegear posted some SQL scripts we have been using to optimize vault server performance in vault 3.5. Especially execution time on history queries of branches were improved by a large amount. These scripts can be found here: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2924 Now that ...

.doc problems with vault 3.5.3
Hi, Lately we have been having problems getting various word documents from vault (v 3.5.3). The download from the server seems to fail as follows: Critical Error downloading file! The remote host closed the connection. The error code is 0x80072746. at System.Web.Hosting.ISAPIWorkerRequestInProcForI...

Show History Timeout
Hi, Using vault 3.5.3 We have got an odd problem. Show history times out for some projects as follows: ----1/10/2008 11:18:45 AM XXXXXXXXXX--XXXXXXXXXXXXXX--SSL Disabled System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server...

Show Labels broken: The requested version can not be found
Hi, We have updated to vault 3.5.3 (from 3.5.2) beginning of the week. I can not say for sure if this happened in 3.5.2 but I have not had any reports about this. For many projects now we get the error message "The requested version (x) of x can not be found in the current repository. ..."...

spgetusersecurityrights
Hi, using Vault 3.5.2 This is another vault performance thread. First some stats: Create New Folder: 15 seconds Delete Empty Folder: 30 seconds Tracing on the SQL Server shows that spgetusersecurityrights is executed for every connected user. This SP needs on average 360mSec to run. So if 30 users a...

This is the same error that you get when IIS is configured to use ASP.NET in 64bit mode. AFAIK, vault server only supports the 32bit version, so standard IIS config on a 64bit machine is wrong. See here how to switch it to 32bit ASP.NET: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894435 Basically it boils down...

Another way you could achieve what you want is: 1. share files and folders that you want to publish into a new folder within vault 2. use the shadow folder service to export this new folder to a local folder on HD 3. use IIS to publish this local folder - this way its just up to IIS securities Cu, K...

Hi, I will need some more detailed recommendation about this. We are going to get a new HS21 blade server. Talked to our IT and basically we could get one of the following: Dual Core @3GHz or 8 Cores @2.3GHz We have got 65 licenses, and always between 30 and 40 users logged in. So which of the above...
