Thanks Linda!

I think I remember seeing that come through the forums now that you mention it. I probably should have searched more carefully...

Quoted Identifier Setting

After upgrading to 3.1 last week, we noticed that our DB reindex / reorg job started failing for the Vault database. The error message is: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]DBCC failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'QUOTED_IDENTIFIER'. The database propertie...

Update: Looking around some more, I found this helpful article: http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=6 I removed the repository structure cache file (along with the last-get-date file) and that seems to have solved the problem. The renamed files show up correctly in the GUI and a quick &quo...

Rename File Problem

Vault 3.0.1 GUI Client in CVS mode I was renaming some files earlier in the GUI client and did a get latest. After updating the VS projects with the new filenames, I noticed VS couldn't find two files that were in a subfolder of the main project folder. I looked in the folder and noticed the two of ...

Scanning Message

This is a very minor thing in the Vault GUI client but I thought I'd mention it. In the the 2.x versions, when you opened a repository a message would appear on the top of the pending changeset tab that informed you that it was scanning the working folders for changes. In version 3, it no longer see...

You know, I went back and carefully retyped everything in the admin tool and it started working. I suppose I mistyped something the first type. Doh!

Thanks for the help.

Dan, does this mean we'll be able to filter the files to add on the extensions (and other patterns) universally? That would be cool. I hate having to always delete the "user files" out of my additions. (Please don't tell me that it already does that and I just haven't found the option yet!)

Minor Interface Thing

2.06 in in CVS mode: I recently standardized some file names to all lower case - the file names didn't change they were just went from Test.cs to test.cs. The GUI client still recoginzes the files when it scans for file changes (thank goodness!) but when you "Add Files" in the folder, it l...

Mass Rename

Using 2.x and GUI client: I just got word that the name of the product I'm working on is changing. That means that I've got some really badly named folders/files/namespaces. Anybody have any thoughts on the best way to perform all of the file and folder renames without breaking all of the VS project...

I'm with Mike on this one. I was having some trouble last week (of my own doing) and noticed this message. I'm sure that everything still worked/s correctly, but this message makes your stomach hurt when you see it, even if it is "normal".

Fear Of Commitment

Using v2.0.1 I'm commiting a large number of files (not sure how many - probably thousands) because of a stupid mistake on my part (the files really shouldn't be under source control in the first place). The commit has been running for about 4 hours with the message "Undoing selected changes......

Hey Mike, Are you using the GUI client or the IDE client? Your post makes it sound like you are using the GUI client. If so, if you click on a folder (like, say, the top level of your working folder) instead of the solution file and click "Get Latest" I believe that it will work like you e...

I'm using CVS mode. Restarting seemed to "fix" it, so for now, I'll just make sure I restart the client. No probem, but it would be nice to know what's going on - or be able to refresh the change set somehow.
