when i make changes to my LINQ diagram in vs2008 it does not show up as edited after a save, nor do the code files it generates.
they do however get picked up and updated when i checkin my changes.

merging project files
how come i cannot merge project files from visual studio 2008 straight from vault?
it treats them as binary but they are basically xml config files.
is there an issue with this? what do you recommend?

I ended up having to remove everything, then search the registry and manually remove all items relating to windows installer and sourcegear...

It sounds like you might want to use CVS mode, instead of VSS mode, as files do not need to be checked out before they are checked in that mode. This is set in Visual Studio under tools->options-> source control ->Vault options Thanks for the quick reply Linda. do they still get merged if someone e...

Working offline and Renegade Files
I regularly work offline with various projects (using vault 4.1 enhanced client and vs2005/vs2008) If i modify a large number of files while offline it takes me a long time to update the vault when i come back online as i have to manually scan for renegade flagged files, check them out, then check t...

Attemted merge, cancelled, all local changes lost
Hi i have been working on a html file locally while offline using vs2005 and the classic vault client. When i went online and opened the project visual studio stated that 'it was going to attempt to checkout files that were modified while offline' when i did this, i then went for a recursive check i...
