Re: Continuous Integration - Changes Since Label
Thanks Linda. Is there any solid documentation on doing this via the command line client? I've heard some mention about it being possible? Barring a fairly "recipe" type way to do it I'm inclined to let our working process just keep working, but I would jump on the chance for a quicker way...

Continuous Integration - Changes Since Label
Greetings, Have there been any changes in 5.0 to the availability of a feature to easily retrieve all files that have changes since a labeled version? We have a daily build process that takes about 45 minutes to run and as our web project gets larger it takes longer every time. I currently label the...

Re: Why is Vault 5 a "major" new version?
First off I would like to say that I think Vault is a great product. However, I agree that Version 5.0 doesn't seem like a "major" release. Also, it seems that Sourcegear has no intention of making any Windows 7 fixes to the 4.x series. So, if you find an issue with Windows 7 and Vault you...

Get By Label Very Slow?
We have been using Vault and overall I'm very satisfied with the product. It's heads above VSS and great for our team in terms of feature/cost ratio. Now, on to the question. Our application is a web project, so we deal with many small files. We have a build system that labels our project for every ...

Not specifically, though we've had requests for this functionality. Some users have used the Command Line Client history query to parse out files checked in or added after a particular date. I'll add your suggestions to the feature request for this capabilty. Add me to the list also. I like your pr...

Testing Backup Procedure
I would like to verify that our backup procedure is sound. What I would like to do is something like the following: Restore a backup to a new database, then point vault at it and verify it works. Without disturbing the active vault DB. I'm ok with the active vault being unavailable for a short perio...

Getting only Changed Files
I am developing a web application that with image files, documentation, etc. has gotten quite large. My current build process does the following: 1. labels the repository 2. gets the versions denoted by the label 3. zips the file 4. drops it in a directory on the server That process is similar on ou...
