security...

Thanks for working to get this in 3.5.2. Jeff - I'm not sure I understand what options you are referring to. On the Repositories tab, I select a Repository that was recently added and click Properties and then click on Repository Access. We have a long list of users, and the easiest way to scroll th...

bug in the UI

If I recall from the last time, the bug with the keyboard not working is that the wrong index was being used in an event to toggle the checkboxes on and off so hopefully it is a really easy fix for the UI that would help greatly with security... Thanks - of course, looking forward to any improvement...

What about the UI bugs?

At the very least, will at least the UI bugs be fixed with 3.5.2? We can't use the keyboard to select and unselect repositories or users in the security windows. It appears to work, but when you save and re-open, they are all wrong. You have to use the mouse, which is not very efficient when you hav...

SECURITY ISSUES

Could someone please update me on this issue? We would REALLY like to see this fixed (the UI bug) as well as have an option to default new Users and new Repositories to have access to nothing. We work on many project for many clients and also give contracts and clients access to repositories, and we...

Security issues (bug & suggestions)

There is a bug when you open the "Security..." window for a user using the Admin tool (currently using 3.5.1, but this bug seems to be in most versions). If you use the arrows keys and space bar to scroll through and toggle Repository Access on and off, then close and open back up, the set...

workaround doesn't work for me

Just started a project that includes some VB6 development on a Windows 2003 server and stumbled up this bug. When the Vault login form opens up, I can only type in the user name box, and when I TAB though, the only other controls that get focus are the command buttons. I can't type in any other box ...

Change default access for new repositories?

As a consulting firm, we have many repositories and many users (contractors, clients, staff, etc.). Whenever a new reposititory is created, all users seem to get access by default and we have manually go in and fix it. Is there a way to default the other way around? If not, please consider this a fe...

I used the SQL server maintenance wizard...

I don't see anything in the maintenance plan screens about the recovery model. Can you be more specific about the options that I should select?

Also, do you believe it is the making of nightly backups that is causing the log file growth?

the SQL server log file (LDF) for Vault keeps getting huge

We do nightly backups of the vault database and transfer them to tape. In any case, the LDF file - the log file for the sgvault database - keeps getting huge. I ran some scripts a few weeks ago that shrunk it back down to size but I was wondering if there is a way to automate this? The only thing in...

not just a display issue

Just to be clear, the issue I experienced is not a display issue. It is an issue with Vault saving the wrong settings - it is giving the wrong users access to the repository. When I go back in a second time, I can see what values it actually saved, but they are not the values that I specified. This ...

Problem selecting which users have access to new Repository

Forgive me if the details are fuzzy, but a couple weeks ago I added a new repository to Vault (3.1.2 at the time) using the admin tool. When I looked at the properties for the repository, I unchecked a bunch of people that I don't want seeing it and saved my changes. When I opened the same window ba...

upgrade Vault server - auto-detect settings?

It would be great if, when upgrading the Vault Server, it could automatically detect the settings from the previous install. E.g., when I go from 3.1.2 to 3.1.5, when prompting if IIS runs as NT Authority or DOMAIN\MACHINE$, please default to the current setting and prompt if if I change it by accid...

Expected Compatibility with 2005 products (VSTS, SQL)

I was hoping for a FAQ or a Sticky regarding compatibility of Vault with VSTS 2005 (including VS.NET, VSTO, TFS) and SQL 2005. Could someone please give me the skinny here - what I need to know if we are using Vault now and plan to use the MS 2005 products when they come out in a few weeks - do we n...

2.0.6 - way to give permissions to Undo Checkout but not adm

Is there a way to give a user permissions to undo checkouts in a repository, but do not give the user any other admin privelages?
