I got it working. It appears that, when there is a space in the file path, CC does not put a period (.) at the end of the working path. It is interesting to note that CC does in fact put the period there when there are not spaces in the file path. I.e. changing this: getversion 11351 "$/Web Pro...

Hi Beth,
Thanks for the suggestion. I received the same result. Yesterday, I tried removing and changing various parameters with no success. Any other thoughts or logs that I can look into?

Vault.exe GET not working properly

Hi, I am using CruiseControl and everything works great for all of my .net apps with the exception of one. Everytime CC detects a change and called the GET command, vault returns this: Please specify -user, -password, and -host. I find the following in the logs: 2007-06-05 11:56:21,353 [UniversityV2...

Uninstall/reinstall seemed to resolve the problem. During this install, I selected the SYSTEM option instead of the Custom/Impersonation option (even though we aren't running under SYSTEM).

nada

Tried that... rebooted as well. Nothing. In the process of re-installing the server now. Anything to do with a changed machine key or something during install? I didn't do anything like that but maybe the install did?

problem after upgrading to 2.0.6

Hello, I just upgraded from 2.0.3 to 2.0.6 and now nobody can login to vault. We are using the same profiles as before so no passwords have changed. We're all getting this error: "The username or password supplied is invalid" The error logs have this in it: ----1/19/2005 10:55:56 AM jeremy...

Probably an IDE issue, but...

I'm using VS.Net 2002 and Vault 2.0.2 and have created a profile in Vault so that I don't have to present credentials everytime. Sometimes, however, when the select repository screen comes up and I'm off in some other application, it appears behind VS.Net in a modal prompt that renders VS.Net unusua...

I know a large majority of the files were modified but the status bar never changed, flickered, or anything. It was basically stuck on the message. Even after the process stopped, the message was still sitting down in the status bar. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the quick response. It goes a bit further than that though. When I highlighted the modified files and hit commit, I did not have any unmodified files selected. Perhaps if there is even an unmodified file in the list, whether selected or not, this heart-wrenching message will appear?

unnerving message: "undoing selected changes"

When using the Pending Change Set to highlight a bunch of modified files and then committing them, the message "undoing selected changes..." appears in the status bar. This has the effect of scaring the $#@ outta me and results in me killing the process in an attempt to save the days work....

That's an interesting point although I'm not sure it applies. First we highlighted all of the unmodified files in the pending change set and selected undo. That ran for a while, but not an unreasonable amount of time given the large numbers. After that completed, we ran the remaining files which wer...

performance problems with large repository

I have a large repository that is killing the vault server when trying to check in a large amount of files. The repository contains 9069 files and 515 folders. Due to an issue we had, it was necessary to check out about half of the files so that we could overwrite them with the code from production....

Buggy VS.Net 2002 integration? Scalability problems?

Hello, We're running Vault 2.0.0 and using VS.Net 2002. I installed the patch as instructed for VS.Net 2002 and have had little success using Vault smoothly from the IDE. I've read a number of posts regarding general integration with the IDE and, in most cases, the response is usually "It's out...
