ServiceRequestTimeoutSeconds is 7200.
No errors in Windows log on both client and server.

Meanwhile I found "workaround" by getting latest with client installed on second machine into shared folder on first machine... :(

There are no new messages in server log during the time I get the error on client.
I disabled Firewall on client machine, it didn't help.
Another machine from the same home network performs getting latest without a problem.

I get the message after 20-30 seconds.

Multiple checkouts allowed despite VSS settings

In VSS admin tool the Multiple checkout checkbox is switched off, but SourceOffsite still allows checkout by several users. Both point to the same database of course. version 5.0.1. Please advise.

Open any ticket, go "Add a comment" tab, click Enter on Subject or Body tag.
Happens in both IE8 and FF3.5.

That's good but in addition why just not to allow many-to-many relation between repositories and projects? i.e. I would like in repository Admin I can check and uncheck related projects for certain repository. By default you may have all projects checked to do not confuse existing users.
