Re: VS2010 RTM and Vault 4.1.4

I suggest you post this information about the compatibility of VS2010 and Vault 4.1.4 on the Visual Studio Enhanced Client FAQ (http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=9672). I've been trying to get the Enhanced Client to work with Visual Studio 2010 for a few hours now; finding this informati...

Re: How to roll back to a label/date?

I need to rollback to a label. From reading this thread, I get that this is something Vault can't do, but a lot of posts refer to some kludge or workaround which gets the job done. Can someone document that procedure here? It would really help. My impression is that the lack of a "one click" rollbac...

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth,

That was it. I reconfigured the structure of the websites on my server, and Vault now works properly. Thank you for the time you spent helping me diagnose the problem.

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth, I'm not using host headers. While looking for a solution to this problem, I experimented with host headers, and it doesn't seem to make a difference whether I use them or not. The Web.config that is being used is in the parent website of the VaultService directory. It doesn't require users to ...

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth, That line is in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\MatsonConsultingLive\Web.config. For some reason, Vault is referencing that Web.config, even though it shouldn't be. When I comment out that line, I'm able to get into the admin site with http://63.134.216.104/vaultservice/admin and the Vault client seems to ...

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth, I think the anonymous user thing is a red herring. I've never enabled anonymous access to the default site, but I've always had anonymous access enabled for the IUSR account on MatsonConsulting.com, which is the website where VaultService resides. There are 29 virtual directories under 4 websi...

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth, On my server, anonymous access is intentionally disabled for the default website (localhost). (Does v4.1.4 require anonymous access to the default website? I don't think v4.0.6 did.) As an experiment, I enabled anonymous access to localhost. When I browse to http://localhost/vaultservice on th...

Re: Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

Beth, I've attached a screenshot of the error. When I browse to http://localhost/vaultservice on the server, I'm prompted for a username and password. If I provide a valid Windows account, I get a page which says "Directory Listing Denied / This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed...

Server Error Immediately After Upgrade to 4.1.4

I just upgraded Vault from 4.0.6 to 4.1.4 on my server. I now get an error when I try to use Vault. If I run the Admin Web Client on the server, I get a page with the message shown below. I've attached vault_install.log and sgvault.log. -TCM ---- Server Error in '/VaultService' Application. Configur...

Questions About the Unrepresentable DateTime Bug

When I try to look at the properties for a folder, I get the following message: "Hour, Minute, and Second parameters describe an un-representable DateTime." Apparently, this is a known bug, discussed at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?t=9085 . However, I have questions which aren't answe...

Terrence, Your questions have brought me to a resolution. I changed the shadow folder settings from "Optimized for Speed" to "Synchronized with Repository", and now everything works. As far as I know, "Optimized for Speed" should work for me, so there is still a bug somewhere. However, I'm not going...

I'm still working on this problem. I've discovered that if I delete the shadow folder configuration, then restore it, Vault will synchronize the shadow folder once, but only once. After that, all changes are ignored. Please help. I'm desperate to get Vault working. Knowing that upgrades never go smo...

I've continued working on this problem for the past few hours, and I've made good progress. I discovered that, during installation, I had mistakenly installed the virtual folders under the default website, instead of the intended website (which is not the default). When I fixed that, most of the pro...

Upgrade to v4.1.6 Failed -- Please Help

I just upgraded Vault from v3.5.3 to v4.1.6. After upgrading, I have two critical problems: 1) the client cannot connect to the server, and 2) the admin tool will not let me configure shadow folders. I've followed the debugging steps at http://support.sourcegear.com/viewtopic.php?p=2450, but they ha...

Thanks. Your reply gave me the clue I needed. I replaced "DEDJ103" with "localhost" in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\VaultService\VaultShadowFolder\Web.config, and that seems to have solved the problem. I don't understand why the fix works. As far as I know, "DEDJ103" should be perfectly equivalent to "localho...
