I think I must have done so in Windows Explorer rather than in Visual Studio or Vault, with the result that vault has missed them ever since!...

I totally endorse this one - - I uninstalled 4.04 and installed 4.1 and nowhere did it ask me for a shadow folder location or suggest I needed to create one, but it clearly did not do so itself - - I just ended up with a confu=iguaration error message on Vault Admin

For some unknown reason, my file would not upload to you but it was only a copy of the vault message quoted in my posting, which seems to have gone through, so I hope you can do without it

Our vault installation has suddenly stopped allowing us or our Indian developer to check in any changes. It worked fine up until Fri evening but would not work since Saturday despite all my efforts to check settings etc. In VS2005 I get the message: "Files could not be mapped to the Vault serve...
