Re: Vault Client 5.1.1 on Windows 10
OK, thanks. That's going to be a challenge, as we package our applications for automated distribution within our WAN. The packaging and testing process takes place before we distribute, so upgrading client and back-end at the same time will be something of a challenge.

Re: Vault Client 5.1.1 on Windows 10
Do we have to upgrade client and back end at the same time?
If not, which do we have to do first?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Vault Client 5.1.1 on Windows 10
Thanks Beth. I may be able to make the case for upgrading to 10.x, but I have couple of questions; 1) The upgrade guide suggests that no intermediate install upgrades are required to go from v5.12 to v10.x. Can we go directly from 5.1.1 to v10x? If not, what is the recommended intermediate upgrade? ...

Vault Client 5.1.1 on Windows 10
Good Morning;
The compatibility chart references the Vault server, but not the Vault client.
Is the Vault 5.1.1 (19215) client compatible with Windows 10?

Get Latest shows current folder dates, not modified
I've done a get latest on an entire repository, and was able to set the file time to modified, but the folder dates are all the current date/time when the get latest was run.
Is there a way to maintain the original folder time stamps?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Shared Folders Problem
Unfortunately, this presents a real problem for us, as the solutions you suggest don't work for our situation. 1) Are there actually two copies of the folder that are kept in sync, or is one a pointer to the other? 2) How do we tell which it the 'original' and which is the 'copy'? Or is there a diff...

Shared Folders Problem
A question has arisen regarding shared folders. We use separate root level folders for development, transit, test, and release. Developers have rights to development and transit. Testers have rights to transit and test. The transit is used to move projects back and forth between development and test...

Re: sgvault db size
Reading the Repository Information it would appear that there is a high proportion of deleted material - I assume it's still in the db occupying space. 1) Is there a way to mass expunge that deleted material? 2) Are there implications beyond losing the history, which I assume would be the most obvio...

sgvault db size
Good Afternoon; Our DB Operations team is asking about the size of the sgvault database. Our repository consists primarily of binaries and documentation more than source code. Is there any way to compress this, and if so can it be done without losing our history/rollback cabability? Repository Infor...

Missing Folder
A folder has gone missing sometime between around December and now. A simple search from the root for a file known to be in that folder has yielded nothing. I can only assume that it has been deleted, but have had no luck as the deleted files function under properties does not seem to be recursive. ...

Re: Modified Date column missing
I don't have that file there. Just two folders, Certificates and a guid named folder.
I have hidden and system files showing, but no files at all at that level.

Modified Date column missing
I've checked the Modified Date column in options, but it's not showing up in the Vault client. Any idea why this might be?
Thanks,
Rob

Re: Upgrading DB for Vault Std 5.1.1
Is it as simple as a backup from SQL2005 and restore on the new SQL2008 instance followed by pointing Vault Server to the new DB?
If you have any step-by-step guide for this I'd appreciate it. I'm the business owner of Vault but I'm not primarily a server guy.
Thanks,
Rob
