Understood; the end portion of the installation goes by pretty quickly. Thankfully, it is preserved in the installation log for questions just like these. Let us know if we can answer any other questions.

Re: AutoUpdateStatistics
Sorry, should have posted this earlier: Vault installation log If you had an unsuccessful installation, we would like to see the Vault installation log. It is named vault_install.log and should be found in your temp folder as defined by the USER's TEMP Environment variable. If you type %temp%, in a ...

Re: AutoUpdateStatistics
The installer puts the sgvault database into single-user mode. We have been receiving sporadic reports of installs that fail with the report that the database is in single-user mode, even when we "know" that the installer should have taken the database out of single-user mode at that point...

Re: SQL database Version
As far as SourceGear employees answering your question goes -- you're right, this isn't the forum to get an answer to that question. Other forum readers may be able to answer you. Personally, I am not aware of any other systems that offer your desired functionality. The method that I described in th...

Re: SQL database Version
Currently, there is no mechanism in Fortress to support treating SQL Server objects (tables, stored procedures, etc.) in the same manner as Visual Studio objects. To say it another way -- Fortress is not integrated into SQL Server Management Studio the way it is integrated into Visual Studio. Best r...

Re: SQL database Version
At SourceGear, we store our SQL Server database definition, stored procedures, and other T-SQL scripts in Fortress. We write all of this information in text files, and manage them under source code control as we would any other text file(s).

Re: Querying Labels from the Vault SQL Database
BA, In your example, were the files shared individually, or was an ancestor (parent, grandparent, etc.) folder shared, or is it a combination of the two (some of the labeled files were shared individually, some are shared as a result of an ancestor folder being shared)? Your proposed query could ran...

Re: Clouds not working ?
With regard to clouds, we'd like you to try two things, in an attempt to isolate the issue you are seeing with tag sizes: 1 - You indicated that you are using Firefox 3. Is it possible for you to test the behavior with another browser? 2 - You are observing this behavior in the web client. Is it pos...

Re: Problem with Vault "undo checkout"
Soren,
Understood. Thank you for the clarification. I was hoping maybe there would be something in the log that would allow me to provide a quick answer.
Could you please email me at support@sourcegear.com, and include the URL for this forum post?

Re: A database error has occured (FailDBInsert)
Hello Steve. The first thing I'd like you to do is run a command to diagnose any issues that SQL Server can identify in your sgvault database: DBCC CHECKDB('sgvault') Please post the results of the DBCC CHECKDB command here, or, if you prefer to not publish details about your database publicly, emai...

Re: sgmaster starting all the time
Xavier, Please check your 'sgmaster' database properties to see if "Auto Close" is checked. It is my understanding that if Auto Close is turned on, the database has to be started when it is queried, and then Auto Close "stops" it, so it needs to be restarted at the next query. I ...
