OK. I uninstalled both. Cleared all the registry entries and the cache (per the instructions linked above), then installed 4.0.2. I then installed 3.5.2 without uninstalling 4.0.2. I tried to launch Vault, it was version 4.0.2. I then uninstalled 4.0.2 from Add/Remove Programs, reinstalled 3.5.2, tr...

I did exactly what you suggested. I uninstalled, removed all registry items, cache, etc.... Reboot, reinstalled, same error. The server is the same version. I have tried nearly everything I can think of.... Vault works within Visual Studio 2005. I can check out, check in, etc. It is just the actual ...

Getting an error when launching the GUI. I had Vault 4.x installed and had to uninstall it because one of the servers that I connect to is 3.5. So, I uninstalled 4.0.2 and installed 3.5.x I now get this error when loading the GUI. Application has generated an exception that could not be handled. Pro...

Uninstall 4.x or Rollback to 3.x
Here's the situation. Company 1 has 6 developers and just upgraded to Vault 4.x. Company 2 has 4 developers, 2 of which work for both companies. Company 2 refuses to upgrade from Valut 3.x to 4.x at this time. This forces all developers for Company 2 to use a 3.x client. Two of the six programmers t...

Still not working. I just updated my client to 4.0.3 and I still do not have SourceGear Vault in my list of available source control providers in my installation of Visual Studio 2003. But, my installation of VS 2005 has a few new options. I am attaching screen shots of both. Should I uninstall VS 2...

Vault is my default provider. Within the registry, I have 3 keys in that folder. - (Default) = (value not set) - ProviderRegKey = Software\Microsoft\SourceSafe - ProviderRegKey_BeforeVault = Software\Microsoft\SourceSafe Then, there are two folders. - InstalledSCCProviders (Both VSS and Vault in her...

Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise
I have both VS 2005 and VS 2003 installed on all developers' machines. Switching back and forth between Microsoft Visual Source Safe and SourceGear Vault is fairly simple and straight forward in VS 2005. Am I missing something for VS 2003? When I go to Tools >> Options >> Source Control..... I do no...
