Re: Checked out and Renegade
Hi Beth - Thanks for the response. There was no one else working with the same files during this time, other than monitoring the folder/file through the GUI. Another bit of information that wasn't clear yesterday: Before renaming the PC, the user was low on free disk space and manually deleted some ...

Checked out and Renegade
We have an application that is programmatically checking in and checking out files from a Vault 3.1.8 repository using various Vault dlls. We have cases where a particular client PC results in files that are recognized as checked out, but get flagged as Renegade and cannot be checked back in. Scenar...

Vault's SQL Database
Where can I find the SQL instance that Vault 3.52 is using for the sgvault database? I expected to find it in the admin tool, but I don't see it.
Thanks!
Rob

Folder Security (Vault 3.5.2)
I have a folder that is setup with folder security. When I create a new user, that user received permissions to that folder by default, which is not what I wanted. I assume that the default user rights carried over from the Add User screen to the secured folder. Is there a setting to prevent new use...

Hi Beth - We are using exclusive checkouts, so no one else should be allowed to change the file from under me. I do like the idea of being able to view statuses from within Visual Studio though. The specific case that I'm strugging with now from within vstudio: 1. Checkout document 2. Make changes t...

VS 2005 undo checkout setting with Vault 3.5.2
I'm looking for a setting that will tell vault to warn me if I have a file that is changed then click undo checkout. Does one exist? I'm most concerned about using it in VS 2005
